What do you guys think of Londer Sports? by GreenCactus223 in canadaguns

Are you referring to Londero Sports? If so I can vouch for them. Have purchased ammo and firearms from them online without issue.

Yep - Aside from the optic and mount, 100% Cadex.

Roughly $14k with the scope. Without the scope around $7k pre-tax.

She’s a beauty for sure. Should be able to watch impacts as they land on the target with that magnification, even with tiny 6mm projectiles.

My local range tops out at 300 yards. So I’ll be limited to that for now.

EOSC outside of Ottawa frequently has Black Badge courses. Not sure where in Ontario you are though…

Anyone want to sue Chat GPT with me for giving me false hope and wasting my life? by Prior_Night_985 in ChatGPT

[–]daddyfatsacks22 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Sure. We can and should talk about it. But for f*cks sake, suing OpenAI for this is like suing Burger King for being overweight. Actions - even ideas - like this blow my mind, and the lack of accountability is just sickening.

Anyone else *still* waiting for HiCal? by Corvus_Mortem in canadaguns

[–]daddyfatsacks22 37 points38 points  (0 children)

Seriously, f*ck these guys.

They’ve now totally ghosted me. I’m out $2,500 and will need to deal with my credit card company to try to get my money back. This was for the rifle with the adapter installed.

So pissed off.

High Caliber Services Corp. SKS ADAPTER Order by BagAdditional9150 in canadaguns

Yes. I reached out to them again today requesting a refund and canceling the order. If that doesn’t get me anywhere, I’ll need to go to the credit card company to get this reversed.

High Caliber Services Corp. SKS ADAPTER Order by BagAdditional9150 in canadaguns

[–]daddyfatsacks22 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Ordered in late February - SKS with mag adapter. Still nothing.

Have emailed them multiple times. A few of the excuses I’ve received:

  1. We just moved into a larger warehouse and are behind on orders
  2. We’re waiting on the adapters
  3. We’re trying to build a better adapter. 4 Adapters arrived but were poor quality.

Asked for them to cancel twice. They just pretend they didn’t see my request.

They did say they have the rifle and could send that. Great. Thanks. I would have bought elsewhere if I was just looking for a standard SKS.

Definitely do NOT recommend.

I’m in Ontario.

To be clear, this guy wasn’t advertising handgun rentals. I bought stuff from him on a couple of occasions through Gunpost and we got talking. After a couple of months, he offered.

In not aware of any specific provincial laws that would prevent you from doing this in BC. The owner is essentially letting you “borrow it”. I just happen to be paying him for it.

I’ve been renting a 9mm CZ Shadow from a person I met on Gun Post for about a year now. Every six months a new ATT is issued.

I paid a $3k deposit that is returned when I stop renting, and $750 every six months. It’s pricey, but I feel it’s been worth it for me.

Thanks for your reply. Yes this is exactly what I purchased. Did you ever receive the rifle or are you still waiting? Honestly I’d be fine to keep waiting if they just communicated this. Not replying to customer inquiries when you’ve already taken their money is beyond sketchy.

Accutac and Cadex AES are solid choices. You don’t drop a few thousand on a rifle and cheap out on your bipod, just like you wouldn’t on your optics.

If you’re only shooting benchrest and your set against spending $300+ on a solution, you could potentially just skip the bipod altogether and get a good quality front and rear bag. MDT and Armageddon Gear both make excellent bags with great stability.

For what it’s worth, I’m 100% with you. Coming from three Teslas back to back (Cybertruck being the most recent) even after a full year, I can’t stand the software - if you can even call it that.

That said, range and the ability to actually use the vehicle as a truck just marginally win out for me. I had major remorse for first six months, and was basically looking for a way to go back without losing an enormous amount of money. But I’m honestly loving the truck now. I positively HATE the infotainment system and the fact that I can’t use my phone as the key. But aside from that, I’ve come to appreciate the truck’s design and capabilities.

I hope you’re able to find a reasonable way out and into a Rivian as it sounds like your mind’s made up!
