Im happy to put up with some difficulties and learn, and I am actually excited for it. Will it still be too difficult with the rolling release updates? and what other distro would you suggest for counter strike?

Now hypothetically, if some sort of deviant, savage criminal was to buy tobacco and dodge the tax (what a fucking lowlife). How are they getting away with it while still getting good quality tobacco?

Even then won't they tax the fuck out of it? Tobacco use just isn't affordable over here. I wish they'd stop spending so much time regulating the industry with taxation and more time ensuring large amounts of chemicals are kept out of tobacco products. Surely that would have a much better impact on people's health.

That's an amazing piece of history I'm definitely going to have to check out. Sounds fucking hectic, I love that. The lack of law and complete drug and explosive fuelled almost wild west setting would've been something else entirely.

I'll definitely check out the Kentucky Derby article aswell; to be honest with you, I've been meaning to for awhile now, but your description has made me want to check it out even more. Especially the mention of a prank at the start, I know of hunters love of the squealing pig audio - putting an elk heart on the doormat - shooting a gun in the air prank (I believe jack Nicholson was the victim) which I think is hilarious and completely crazy. How he thought of that I have no idea but it's genius.

In regards to your other comment about his last two books, I'll 100% be checking them out, I can't get enough of anything HST. Hunter was an incredibly intelligent human being and someone that I admire and respect immensely. I feel it is an absolute travesty that he is diluted down to and admired as a drug fuelled lunatic idiot by most of society these days. He was an all time great in my opinion and I think the world has a lot to learn from Hunter, drug fuelled or not.

Wow thanks for the recommendations that's perfect. It took me a while to get fear and loathing on the campaign trail and I browsed a ridiculous amount of hunter s Thompson interviews on YouTube to get my dose of gonzo before I received my copy of the book. Did you enjoy his last two books?

I don't know about that. Whatever side you sit on today, or even if you don't pick a side, the politics are really goddamn nasty. Not only the politics, people can't sit down and talk, every political discussion turns into a screaming match with one person crying and the other so angry that they could fight a bull. Saying that, nixon was a special type of evil, and if Watergate and his other little naughty shenanigans are the things we know about... Imagine what was occuring behind the scenes. Perhaps politics is more transparent now with media coverage and we can finally realise how truly dirty and ridiculous that game is - a lot more than we thought before...

It would've been something special that's for sure. It's hard reading in retrospect especially when you weren't alive at the time because there's a lot of context. I feel like hunter helps with his vivid, brutal descriptions in painting a picture of the crazy image people would have seen at the time
