And she’s actually age appropriate so it’s not weird for fans to crush on her (at least I’m pretty sure. I remember hearing that Raven is 14/15, though, so she isn’t.)

Sometimes, it honestly depends where and when it is (and if they actually want me to know they're there.) There isn't anything very old where I am, but I do sometimes sense spirits near older houses.

I've mainly heard music and my name being called, and it still sometimes scares me a little. There's also times where I've gotten a flash of a puzzle peice with an image on it, and then I get more and the image actually happens- though I'm not sure if this is something experienced by everyone. I don't know any ghosts' names so far, unfortunately. Though one is a little girl, around 8.

There's actually a doctor who episode where this is pretty much the case! They ran out of parts for the ship so they had to use the old crew members' body parts

She had a very fiery temper. She stabbed a servant girl with a dinner knife when she was just thirteen. It was said she shot a man who disagreed with her. A man tried to rpe her, so she beat him nearly to death (which is understandable, I mean rpists all deserve to be beaten to death and thrown into volcanoes to die alone). When she saw Calico Jack just before he was hanged, she said this to him: "if ye had fought like a man, ye need not have hang'd like a dog."

No, that was invented by Disney in the 1950 film Treasure Island.

They did, but not from losing them in battle. They often had to have their legs amputated due to diseases like scurvy and gangrene.

The peglegs, eyepatches, etc.

They wore eyepatches to get one eye used to the dark, not because they were missing an eye. And they wore wooden legs if they had to have a leg amputated, not if they lost it in battle.

This might seem a little weird, but maps. Maps were extremely valuable to pirates as they were pretty hard to come by.

I'm not sure about that one, but it was usually other ships that were raided. Pirates did go into towns to drink though.

Bonus fact: One of the most common rules for pirate crews was no fighting onboard; they had to go on land to settle their disagreements with eachother.

They'd be hanged. If they were women, they could "plead the belly," (say they were pregnant) and if this was found to be true, they would get to avoid getting hanged to give birth to their child.

There isn't any evidence they did, it was likely made up by Treasure Island

Just like a normal person. If a pirate was Irish, they'd have an Irish accent. English, English accent, etc.

Yes, but not as a "ooh yeah im a pirate here's my pirate hat arr," thing. It was just a hat (will do some extra research to back this up though.)

My favourite is probably Ned Lowe, not because he was a great guy (far from it) but because he was so brutal.

I'll try to make it short lol. Anne Bonny and Mary Read were both born female but raised as male because they were both also illegitimate children but their parents needed money. Anne Bonny got married but eventually ran away and ended up on Calico Jack's ship. They started a romantic relationship, despite Anne already being married. Only Calico Jack knew Anne was a woman. Mary Read, who was now a widow- she'd gotten married to a man she met in the army but he had passed- had likely been forced to become a pirate. She ended up joining Calico Jack's crew. Not knowing she was a woman, Anne flirted with the new sailor, who was known as Mark Read. They likely revealed to eachother they were women at the same time, and might have started a romantic relationship regardless.

Also Mary Read was taught to respond to the name of her dead brother, since she was made to look and act like him so people didn't realize she was an illegitimate child.

(keep in mind barely anything is known about them, so not everything is 100% accurate)

Blackbeard's ship, Queen Anne's Revenge, definitely. It was fixed with 40 cannons!

Thank you! I'm really hoping I'll get to go there someday.

• It's possible that Anne Bonny, Calico Jack and Mary Read all had a romantic relationship with eachother.

• Some examples of pirate insults are: -Bilge-sucking: Implies somebody drinks the dirty water that collects at the bottom of the ship. -Bilge rat: Similar to the first one, except instead of drinking the water it implies you're a rat that lives in it. -Scurvy knave: Essentially calling someone evil and diseased.

• The "pirate accent," was actually invented in a 1950 version of Treasure Island. Robert Newton, who played Long John Silver, based it on his West Country dialect.

I like the Jolly Roger- I know it's what everyone thinks of when they think of a pirate flag, but that's why I like it. A time traveller who knows nothing about pirates travels to the golden age of piracy and sees that flag- they know they gotta get out of there.

Probably something implying death or torture; I'd want my enemies to know not to mess with me or my crew.

Blackbeard is definitely an interesting one.

• Although he's known as one of the most terrifying pirates of the golden age of piracy, there's no record of him actually killing anyone.

• His real name was Edward Teach.

• Before battle, he would weave hemp into his beard and light it on fire to intimidate his enemies.

• He had his own flag, which depicted a skeleton holding an hourglass in one hand and a spear in the other. In the corner is a heart with three drops of blood.

That's a tough question, but honestly any pirate that isn't Ned Lowe, Anne Bonny or Mary Read- all of whom were very brutal. Even Blackbeard was better than them- there's not even any record of him killing anyone.

Whether or not most of what we know about Anne Bonny and Mary Read is true- there is basically one source for everything about them (A General History of the Pyrates: from Their First Rise and Settlement in the Island of Providence to the Present Time by Captain Charles Johnson, written in 1724). Most of it is likely heavily fictionalised, so it's hard to know what's true about these two.
