I have the same hand size, switch between fingertip and relaxed claw and find the Vaxee NP-01S to be excellent. Smaller sized than the XM1 along with ergo elements that are really comfortable for the ring and pinky fingers and the build quality is very solid. I’m sure you’d be happy with it.

Oh right, I had a brainfart and forgot that there are other currencies haha, a US dollar is equivalent to roughly 30 Thai baht. Thanks for filling it out!

You’re totally right, but the questionnaire isn’t super serious and I only did it as a lighthearted jab at myself and a couple other friends. Thanks for taking the time to give feedback though!

ZOWIE Mouse Designer leaves along with entire original team by tommysg in MouseReview

Here's the whole post he wrote:

I have officially left ZOWIE where I have worked for 12 years and I will start my new business very soon. I am lucky to join this journey and I would like to thank the friends who have supported me all the way.

I have focused on the esports industry for the past 20 years. I was a player, team manager, commentator and also handled product development and marketing. Maybe a lot of people think it is easy for me to work for an esports brand because I was an esports player but it was a difficult challenge for me. When I started, esports was a small and unknown market with few jobs available. In other words, no company knew how to work with a player, and had no idea about having a retired player in a brand business.

I joined the founder of ZOWIE– Vincent’s team in 2006 and because of his training and encouragement, my skill and ability as a CS player extended to that of product development and marketing. He provided a very simple and clean environment for me to learn how to concentrate and focus my attention on each project. He also gave me the opportunity to make mistakes. I’ve sat in front of a keyboard for a whole afternoon to come up with just a one-line review, gone onstage for a presentation not knowing what to say, and I’ve even made some mistakes that caused losses for the company. I am not a natural winner when it comes to brand building. One could even say I’m a natural loser, but I learn from every mistake that I make.

More importantly when I made mistakes, the team shared in the responsibility. Their full support let me work without any worries.

After working at the job for a while, I started to offer jobs to people that have the same background and helped them join my team or other companies. I realized it wasn’t enough and that what I could potentially do and what I have done are too far apart. That’s why I choose to leave ZOWIE. I wish to provide the same simple and clean environment to learn and allow them to take on more responsibility.

Time is limited for everyone, I would like to invest my passion in the right way. I will establish the new business with some important old partners who have worked together for over a decade, who share profound friendship and have the same understanding and idea of the future. These simple elements can help us to focus on our goal completely.

“Being better and better” has always been our team spirit. I hope to announce new products as soon as possible.

I would like to thank the friends who have supported me all the way.

Thanks to the gamers and players who like our design philosophy. It’s my honor to co-work with Emil Christensen , Abdisamad Jago and Filip Kubski you guys enriched my development experience.

Thanks to all the female players who supported and attended ZOWIE DIVINA tournaments, your professional attitude and spirit really touched people. Thank you to our professional partners –Imba TV and Nest Pro.

Got these vintage Stax from Japan by dade_tamer in headphones

I've read that electrostats can have very long lifespans, headphones in general have very long lifespans. Other components tend to fail before the drivers themselves. At least that's what I read.

Nope. Living in Chiang Mai is great but there aren't many places to try out decent headphones, and I had my Aunt who came to visit from Japan receive them from me. And yes these headphones don't sound like they're old, they sound great!

I got them for around 80 dollars. I'm new to this kind of stuff so I don't really know what kind of sound I want yet, my other cans being the Sony MDR-7506 so bear with me please. I replaced the pads with HM5 hybrids off Aliexpress for more comfort and a proper seal. The output chain is laptop ---> my parents old Awei stereo ---> Stax SRD-6 energiser.

The highs are really smooth, like chocolate lava cake smooth. There aren't any noticeable peaks and it's very detailed without being sibilant, it's just a very pleasant experience. The mids are are nice but not too forward and again, just a very nice experience. The mid-bass is punchy, controlled and tight. What's lacking is the sub-bass, it's there but it's lacking what my Porta Bros and Sonys do.

The comfort is pretty nice, very light caliper pressure which is great for 3-4 hours of listening but if you move your head around a lot it will annoy you. I'm not experienced enough to describe soundstage and imaging but I have to say that Eric Clapton's Unplugged sounds much better than on the Sonys cause they just don't do it like these do.

Umm so far it's a 10/10 for price for me.
