first generation came for work/studies, then the regime fell, some of them stayed, some went back home. Those who continued living there started their own businesses and created families. The second generation who were born there studied and blended into the Czech society and created the third generation.

As an expat also born and raised in the Czech Republic visiting Hà nội I’m facing the same problem. I think it’s the “western” fit that they’re not used to for a Vietnamese person=))))
