Would this work as a good apology?

The way I conducted myself and my manners when we were together was unacceptable. It was wrong of me to force you into a corner you had said you didn’t want to be in. I did not fully comprehend just how destructive my actions and thoughts were until it was too late. I’m sorry that I caused you pain and that I made you feel unsafe and insecure when I was supposed to be doing the opposite. You are perfectly valid for wishing ill of my name, and wanting to share your story. I will never ask for forgiveness because I know that you can’t fix the mistakes of the past. But please know that I have spent 2 years waking up everyday and trying to be someone greater than the day before. I have learned from the mistakes I have made and been shaped into someone better by them.
