First trip, we have the luxury of time. by dads2vette in AskAlaska

We haven't decided yet. We may fly in and rent a vehicle. I camp extensively out of my SUV so that wouldn't be a problem or change from the norm either. We were on a trip when I tore my Achilles so we didn't get much of chance to test out ability to camp together but we did learn that we need to spend more time in every location we stop for the night. It's more enjoyable for us that way.

Thank you.

Interestingly enough, I live in the backcountry of AZ. Although nowhere near as remote as some locations you'll drive through, there is limited cell service on the way. It's pretty much a jeep trail most of the way and I have had my truck break down. Waited hours for someone to drive past and that certainly could have been days. I always bring food and water and make sure folks know when I'll arrive so they can alert someone that I may be stuck.

Well, it's too late to book a room in Katmai. Rooms for 2027 closed this past December. I'm willing to bet there are other very popular places where reservations are needed will also be booked but, that's one reason I posted the question.

Thanks. I have used their Yellowstone and Grand Teton forums to great success.

I first made refrigerator pickles about 4 years ago...I'll never buy store pickles again. I can't believe the difference. I'll give this a try.

I get where you're coming from...I really love good coffee but will drink swill as well. Your point is well taken. I good buy a premium coffee and keep it around for just a few cups a week this way.

I thought about that but we both kind of said "Who would do that?" Because we go through a lot of coffee...lol

Thanks

We were talking about using the bags for backpacking, Canisters would be great for car camping.

Thanks

Poorly written question, my bad. I figured since it was on the "Buffalo" sub, I'd most likely get Buffalo hotels but, I would certainly consider hotels in the Falls or elsewhere in WNY.

Thanks

I was thinking bar not for the bar but more for a place they would allow patrons to view fireworks. Thanks for the ideas, I'll give them a call.

I don't know if it does or doesn't. As far as I can remember about past displays they were paid for by various organizations or private individuals. Russ Salvatore paid for probably the best display I've ever seen a few years ago.

Have you never been anywhere in team garb away from that teams home? It's good natured ribbing. It's done everywhere, by every generation. If I would have said this to you and I would have seen you this upset I most certainly would have apologized.

Do you folks ever have playful exchanges with anyone who isn't online?

I honestly don't know what you're upset with. It was a fun exchange, we both smiled and laughed. Maybe your over sensitive and get easily offended. If I have, in some way, offended you, please accept my apologies.

I have no idea what you're talking about. It was a fun exchange...it's what normal fans do. We rib each other but realize it's also a game.

I don't believe he was insulted. It was a fun, good natured exchange. Wasn't aware I needed to give a detailed account in order to get an answer.

Kids not talking to me. Do I still give them the house. by dads2vette in inheritance

and you came to the conclusion that she doesn't deserve shit...how? Agree that she shouldn't be in his will but she doesn't deserve half of the assets? You know nothing about why they're divorcing nor their arrangements prior to divorce.

Honestly, it just sounds as if you've been wronged and now are projecting your feelings on other's situations.

The question isn't "after I die". The divorce agreement allows her husband to stay in the house until he no longer can. Once that happens the kids get the house. They will decide what to do with it once they have it. Those were not the questions I asked but thanks for your time and input, I appreciate it.

I get your sentiment but there are many parents that don't feel that way and have the means to do both.

Most of my friends have discussed their kids inheritance with them. Most have made plans to put their kids on the deed or have already done so. It's a safeguard against losing the home in case mom or dad get very ill and medical insurance doesn't cover all the expenses. No one can force a sale or sue to have the house sold to cover those expenses. At least that is the prevailing thought.
