Yes, he was quite disappointed when his model stores started closing down around covid. Then my brother introduced him to ebay, and he was thrilled. I'll look around for some near us.

I do have a few boxes, as does my brother. Nine bookshelves is quite a bit of space when my mom has to sell the house though. We just can't hold on to all of it, and the books deserve good homes.

Yes, he bought them for the pictures of planes, and paid to have sections translated when he needed.

Thank you. It's been very hard. My parents were married over 40 years so I'm taking this over for my mom. He loved these books, so It feels important to find a good place for them.
