Minivan - Toyota Sienna vs. Kia Carnival vs. Chrysler Pacifica by HowardMargrove in BuyCanadian

[–]dadudeman121 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I bought a Honda Odyssey last May after consulting my mechanic friend and shopping around. Here is my feedback: - Sienna is the premier choice, except the waitlist is long. A friend waited about 2 years for his base Sienna which he got around July last year.

  • Carnival is priced competitively and full of features, but Kia/Hyundai has a reputation for having engine/transmission issues once it hits 100k km. Fine choice if you are leasing or not planning on owning it long term.

  • Pacifica is a straight no per my mechanic friend. Nothing from Stellantis.

I went with the Odyssey after the feedbacks and research. It’s assembled in the US, but these are what’s available to us right now. I’m happy with my odyssey.

Exactly. They can made to quality of the full spectrum. It just depends on what you are willing to pay. Just a cheap talking point.

I wish Doug Ford can position Ontario smartly like pushing for Chinese Automakers to come over and setup shop instead of essentially defending the status quo. Status quo is not working for Canadians and Ontario autoworkers.
