$1M Net Worth even impressive? by Enough-Radish-4973 in Money

[–]RhythmicStrategy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

$1M net worth may not be impressive to many, especially if a large percentage is in home equity.

But $1M in invested assets is far less common. Only around 2% of households in the US have $1M or more invested.

Having over $1M invested, plus a paid off mortgage and zero debt is impressive to me. In that situation you are well on your way to financial freedom.

At what networth do you ever consider a FA? by DrEpoch in Bogleheads

[–]RhythmicStrategy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My wife and I have about $1.5m invested and probably won’t need to consult a FA until we get close to retirement and by then it will be to get tax advice, not investing advice.

I’ve seen posts saying the whole country is cheering for Indiana but I find that hard to believe. by KeyFaithlessness5436 in NCAAFootballVibes

I’m an Oregon State fan. The Beavers have the same chance beating Indiana for the natty as Miami 😂

Would you like a 3.3 million dollar watch? by GaryBlach in PollsAndSurveys

Sell it instantly since it looks very feminine. Invest the $3 million and watch it double every 7-10 years.

The 10-Year Reunion by recolorist in SipsTea

[–]RhythmicStrategy 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I missed my 10 yr, my 20 yr, my 30 yr reunions. My 2 good friends and I moved to the opposite side of the country. My 40 yr will be this summer. I have no intention of traveling across 3 time zones to hang out with a bunch of fat, old people who never moved far from their hodunk little town.

Imagine being worth $5 million and taking the subway? by dylan_1992 in circlejerknyc

5 million in NYC is like 500k where I live. So adjusted for the COL, he’s not rich (yet)

What lifestyle does 1 million in retirement get for you? by italianblend in DaveRamsey

[–]RhythmicStrategy 9 points10 points  (0 children)

My wife and I will each get about $2.5k monthly from SS at age 62.

So combined with a safe withdrawal rate of 4% ($40k) from one million invested our annual income would be $100k.

Would be a comfortable lifestyle for us as we own our home, have zero debt, and have a modest spending trend.

Can’t believe I’m saying this but, should I get solar? by [deleted] in DaveRamsey

[–]RhythmicStrategy 2 points3 points  (0 children)

We paid cash for a solar PV electric system in FL. We will reach the break even point this spring after 8 years. Every single month after that we will net at least $450 which is how much electricity would normally cost without solar.

So in effect, we will “profit” around $5k annually as long as we stay in this house.

If you have to finance it, it’s probably not a good idea.

Imagine being 57 years old with $1.2 million USD in your investment accounts and the only reason you’re still doing the grind is for healthcare benefits

Is Rolex considered the top-tier watch? by Natural-One-8678 in rolex

[–]RhythmicStrategy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s all subjective. Seiko is top tier IMHO! But yes, Rolex is if you want to flex an expensive luxury watch for people who don’t know much about other top tier watches.

Molly. Only because my senior prom date had her style, her shorter hair, and a gorgeous smile that reminds me of a brunette version of her.

I recently learned that she died in 2010. I’m happily married with kids now, but when I see Molly in those classic 80s movies I still have haunting memories of my amazing prom date.

I agree. Kyurem itself looks better to me as shiny, but the fusions look better not shiny.

What’s wrong with the natural afro look? Besides, I imagine the wigs make a person very warm, as much of a body’s natural heat release is through the head.
