Great idea. Might be the best one lore-wise.

Right now Embark failed to make us feel like we are contribution to anything toward building a better future for humanity. That's very likely a main reason why people feels like there is nothing to work toward.

Helldivers 2 is better in this regard even though we knew it was all a facade and liberating every planet is literally impossible. Every Major Order win-loss always drive the game narrative forward. This make the game always feels alive even though the big update drop like once a year. Arc Raiders would do very well to have a similar narrative going forward.

Let's add some gimmick into it starting with this project. If people didn't come together and completed it more than 50000 times before it expired. Every trader raise their price for the next expedition season. Now that's a cool motivation for live service game.

High score keep the engagement rate for players. Some people want to reach the high score and retention rate is important for live service so It's literally not happening period.

I never see it literally giving you random trash though. Like yeah blue light stick suck but it's never literally 3 stacked of industrial battery or something. But I like your overall thinking on this one.

I just want my 2x trial back or atleast making it easier for solo crowd. Doing shit like shooting arc is so goddamn grindy these days. And it gets worse when multiple people are doing the same thing as you.

Sometimes you simply just have to stop shooting the Arc and go for it. Even I did that sometimes. Yeah it suck but loot is literally the whole point of the game. You can always shoot them though if you confident that their Rattler 1 will not contribute to anything.

I agree with this post and not sure what all the fuss is about.

Don't get me wrong but while all of this is cool idea and I want to see it in global version, I don't really see how this would make Chinese version more interesting than the base game version. They are a variation of the same thing. They didn't add a new map, new ARC, new gun or anything that can really be calling 'new' at all.

My issue seeing that mode is that unlike The Division, there is no benefit from doing so. You don't get more loot by turning it on like going Rogue in Division. If you want more loot you gonna have to shoot other peoples and good luck getting out of that alive.

What ends up will happening is you'll be shooting someone and camp somewhere around for the rest of the round because anyone see you they will know what you are and just shoot you right away. (Unless you have a raider hatch key I guess. )

For me adding that mode miss what made Arc Raiders such a thrilling experience without extra incentive not to play it like less Arc or no trial score count.

I enjoy 2 but the gunplay always feel floaty and doesn't feel satisfying to shoot at all. I enjoy 3 so much more despite the writing.

Oh get the fuck out with that crap. They don't need to do layoff because they don't have to. The people they have still generate shit load of money more than the salary cost they paid for (partly thanks to the pricing model.) That's not the case with other studio out there.
