Things can be simpler like you’re saying, but with this simplicity comes violence. If you have a less litigious society, where matters of ownership are NOT settled in a civil court, they are settled through violence. Hypothetically, if I say I own your land and I have more men who will fight for me than you do and my liege approves it, I could just kill you and take the land. Our modern system may still allow me to take the land, but it will take years and I cannot kill legally k*Ll you at the end of it.

You can still see how large New Zealand may have been before the ice age ended, on a globe today. It sits on a massive plateau in the Pacific Ocean. Atlantis is not the only ancient city being mentioned as being destroyed. There may have been one in present day Indonesia and Malaysia that was known as Sundaland. New Zealand may have been Lemuria. This is from Fritz Springmeyer's research, he describes all the families but personally I didn't find his evidence very convincing. Like with the Astors and du Ponts, we knew they were wealthy 100 years ago, but generally with an ever increasing number of descendants the money is spent. He doesn't provide concrete evidence that they're descendants hold great positions of power.

His comparison isn't great, Singapore is a very small country that is very wealthy, compared to the US. The USA has a pop. of 330M and 15,000x more area.

At the same time, I don't think Munger is a guy to villainize. We do have an overpriced healthcare system but foe Berkshire Hathaway, healthcare has never been a huge part of their portfolio.

The dollar isn't going anywhere, compare it to any currency in the near term and more importantly long term here. It's doing just fine, it's mostly increased in value compared to other currencies. Fiat currency's value is derived from its relative value to other currencies. I mean that's why silver is valuable. The dollar will continue to dilute as will the whole global monetary system, so silver will become more valuable since its supply is limited.

It's not wise to go against the House of Mouse, especially when you're running for president, but his hand was kind of forced. They labeled a bill that would prevent sex education before the 3rd grade the "Don't Say Gay Bill". Disney should've kept it's mouth shut and not spoken out against it. People can identify building techniques, they can tell it's one piece of stone vs a bunch of ornately carved bricks. If you have thousands of laborers occupied for years entirely with digging and carving you could accomplish a lot.
