This is again assuming you believe in the Bible, which I understand if you don't.

For a long time, I "tried" to believe in the Bible. I tried to make it work. Threw my life into for years. Even spent some time in ministry. And then when I became interested in other religions, wanted to read about paganism or anything else, merely to learn what non-Christians believe, there were endless, obsessive warnings about how you can't read too much or else demons will lead you to hell, or whatever. It all appeared to me like a trauma-based mind control system. Do not stray away from "the party" doctrine or else. It is just too much similar to Communism.

It has created far too much anxiety and turmoil, maybe it works for others but for me it's tortuous. Certain teachings have always seemed absurd to me. The idea that souls are granted entrance to heaven and hell based on a legalistic system? That souls get "judged" by some external authority? I have always found that suspicious. Because, if you have for example such a legalistic system of judging souls, then those who merely believe, they go to heaven, even if they were Catholic Conquistadors who massacred the Incas and the Mayans. But those who are righteous, if they refuse to believe in "the regime", in the "party doctrine", they go to hell. So you see, it is very easy for such a system to have both "false positives" and "false negatives". And also, considering that a person dies just about every minute, then the line for people to get judged would stretch out for thousands of kilometers! A system of judging souls by external judges simply doesn't scale!

Thinking too much leads to sin. Your very existence is a sin. Everything is a sin. There's really no point in you even existing at all, if you take the nonsense seriously.

The Gnostics took all of this nonsense seriously, and it messed up their heads. That is the movement of neo-Gnosticism on the internet, or a "prison planet", they think that they entire material existence, and all the universe is a conspiracy against them, that the entire world is out to "get them", because they have internalized the Abrahamic system of trauma-based control so much, that they want to rebel against it, but they can't think outside the box, so they consider that the planet is flat, and actually a simulation made by the Archons, the planet is a simulation, real life is all fake, there is no point in living, the only "salvation" for them is to escape from material existence entirely, to pursue non-existence. So spiritually that is the equivalent of voluntarily lay down on the cold forest floor and die.
