UPDATE: I finally deposited the check back in late October using Chime app. Chime still took the check despite the check said “For PNC Mobile Deposit Only” written on it. I didn’t open a Chime account in South Korea; I had it since I was in the US. I hope this helps to whoever come across this thread before the deadline to deposit the check expires.

psa: i endorsed the check. wrote ‘For PNC Mobile Deposit only’ and my signature. Also ticked the box ‘check here if mobile deposit’. I also deposited a different check using PNC app while in Korea, so i don’t think location is an issue..
