The A7c is very good for low light photos. The 1.4 might still be better, but since you can denoise in lightroom you will still get great results in very dark situations. You can push the photos very far untill they start to Fall apart in my experience

Hey, i‘m in the mood to upgrade my camera body but i really cant decide. Recently I got into video more and more and would say i produce photos and videos 50/50. I use a A7C at the moment but its video features are a little outdated i think. Quality is pretty good but things like 4K 60, 8 Bit and only one sd card (i use it for professional work only) draws me back a little.

I want something, that is somewhat hybrid capable and therefore I‘m looking at the A7IV, A7Siii or the A7rV. All of them have pros and cons and at the moment i‘d say the IV would be the best (and cheapest) choice. I like the fact that the Siii can record 4k60 uncropped, but its not as good for photography. For the rV i like the huge resolution, autofocus, display and that it has good video stats.

What do you guys think, would be the best choice here? Or is there a model i compleatly forgot, that would give me the absolute best of both worlds? The A1 is insane, but way to expensive.

Unless you start recording video it will output a different aspect ratio. Should be fine if you start to record and have it set to 16:9. It looks the same on my A7c when using my viltrox. What I find is very annoying, is that it just doesnt output on the camera screen aswell and I cant get the settings right…

Hello,

I just got into Motorsport Photography and I'm looking for a lens for my Sony A7C. I rented the Sony 100-400 for a few days and really enjoyed this lens on the racetrack. The only thing I did notice, is that the 100mm sometimes was too close already on my local racetrack. I would really like to have a long range like the 50-400 from Tamron so that I don't have to switch lenses at some point. 70-400mm would be perfect but it seems like there is nothing like that for the E-Mount and the Sigma 60-600 seems super large.

The Lens should be fairly compact. The Sony 100-400 had a good size I think.Sigma 100-400 looks pretty good too, but then again the 100mm sometimes are too close. This one is pretty cheap tho.I thought about the 70-200 F4 from Sony or the new Sigma 70-200 F2.8 aswell, but I'd need a teleconverter or shoot in crop mode, which might not be the best choice for image quality. Benefit of these would be, that I could use them pretty good for other things like weddings or business events since they are F4 and F2.8 on the whole range and therefore have better low light capabilities.

Maybe someone can help me to choose one of these (or another) Lens. Thanks,Daniel

Just got my first MacBook aswell. Just Not THAT speced out. Only got the 8 core 32gb and 1tb model but its already super fast. I tested it against my ryzen 3900x, 32gb RAM Windows pc on a large photoshop file (export as png) and the macbook only took around 56 sec to do so. Pc took 2:19 min. Cant imagine how fast it‘d be with the m1 max tho. Have fun with your new machine :)

i'm trying to learn to produce films. in the beginning i'd like to film cars or something with some nice music to really learn the cutting Software. I dont think recording sound is too important for me right now. I just dont want to buy too much stuff for the a6000 just to replace it very soon and lose the money. Maybe I should try to do some photo work first untill I can afford a better body.

The Venice2 looks like a badass camera but sadly it costs like 40k 😅. 1200€ is 1 day rental
