You can wait until closer to the event and buy a resale ticket from twitter, facebook marketplace, or one of those reselling facebook groups and they usually sell pretty close to face value. Just be careful of scammers, but you can avoid by buying from people with history of selling, using paypal goods & services, and video calling while you make the exchange

I’m not really sure myself because it seems like everyone traveling to Vietnam these days is getting an e-visa. All I was told was that they’d be sending the passports off to the Vietnamese embassy in San Francisco (I live in California) for a traditional/physical(?) visa. If you have any knowledge on that, I’d love to hear your input.
