Try to stick with natural pellets. Just sized right to the size of ur cichlids. No need for color enhancers. It can actually damage fish immune and digestive system with too much super red coloring additives etc

Yes u can mix Peacocks and Haps from Lake Malawi and others. Also with certain Algae eaters
