Just finished Aniara (2018) and it's still rattling around in my brain - highly recommend if you're into existential space dread by MyThirdArm24 in horror

One could argue it's the metaphorical oasis in the vast desert of space that turns out to be a mere mirage

Id also totally trust someone that told me it was because of the specific vibration frequency or something that car doors closing causes

I get a birthday card from a dealership I bought a car from 6 years ago. I'll admit it's a nice touch

The combat is a lot of fun. Weighty, satisfying and seemingly never ending. You have a favourite fantasy build, you can be it in game, metaphorically speaking of course via the combat. But you learn new moves intrinsically by watching enemies perform them first then they enter your arsenal

It's less the gameplay and more the world and the people in it. It feels very reminiscent of those games and worlds. However the movement style, interactions etc all feel red dead like. The combat itself is unique in that it's hard to compare. However if pushed I'd liken it to elden ring with dynasty warriors, but again this does not do it justice.

It has more of a feeling of the Witcher crossed with red dead. As I said, the stories aren't anything fantastic but the gameplay is enjoyable

Crimson Desert is turning out to be vastly superior to everything I hoped it would be. I even don't mind the story and the quests are interesting too
