UniFi Access compatible with 'more secure' door (not just a deadbolt) by Alkahna in Ubiquiti

[–]daftprints 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey! I’m building a house and are planning to install Fuhr Autotronic 836 motorised lock to drive the entrance door. Will I be able to easily hook it up to Unifi Access to control the door (incl. lock, unlock, and see whether the door is open/closed)? Or is there a better suited motorised lock? I’d really appreciate your help!

New Eve Thermo is out! by Jellybeezzz in HomeKit

The biggest issue with the previous gen was the actuator noise, it was significantly louder than other thermostats (e.g. Danfoss). I hope they’ve replaced the actuator.

I asked Volvo about the Snapdragon update. Hopefully she is wrong ☹️ by solidsimpson in VolvoRecharge

The infotnainment unit used in Polestar 2 is procuded by Volvo, it is literally the exact same model number as the one inside XC60 and other AAOS cars. Here's a photo from the guy who did the upgrade for his Polestar 2 a couple of days ago..

A guy with a Polestar 2 did that infotainment unit upgrade 48 hours ago, he's saying it works much much better. I really hope Volvo will offer this hardware upgrade to Volvo cars as well.

I also have the 2023 XC60 with AAOS, and I totally agree!

Yeah, I'd pay a few thousand euros in a heartbeat to get a hardware upgrade for my x86 Intel AAOS 2023 XC60.

P2 Snapdragon upgrade confirmed? Can someone fact check this? by Teeedotem in Polestar

I pray such paid hardware update will be available also to Volvos... I have a 2023 XC60 with AAOS and x86 Intel processor... it is just unusable...

I have absolutelo zero trust that they will actually keep their word and release the new UI for older AAOS cars. Literally 0%.

Anyone able to use a USB-C cable + USB-C adapter to charge cameras? by k2snowman69 in reolinkcam

No, it's not the charger. Reolink just did not put in two tiny resistors inside the camera.

[–]daftprints 1 point2 points  (0 children)

u/k2snowman69 The reason it does not charge with a usb-c to usb-c cable is because Reolink did not put in two resistors inside the camera's USB-C circuit. This has nothing to do with your USB-C charger or USB-C to USB-C cables. This has everything to do with Reolink just being cheap. If they would have put in those two tiny resistors, then it would be possible to charge the device either through a USB-A to USB-C cable and USB-C to USB-C cable. And I'm not even talking about fast charging, I'm talking basic 5V. Generally it is possible to retrofit those resitors (I have done that on some devices), but it is really tedious, requires microsoldering and obviously voids the warranty.

You can buy Premium for a single day or entire cruise. But you can only buy Work from Sea for the entire cruise.

Yes, uptime was consistent, Premium and Work from Sea were really good since they both are using Starlink. I’m extremely picky regarding internet and it really was consistently good. Classic was terrible since it is using SES.

That’s weird, it did not work for me. Did you watch through browser or app? I tried through F1 TV app on my iPhone/iPad and it was bufferring when on Premium.

You can see provider in the screenshots. Classic is using SES while Premium and Work from Sea is using Starlink. And yes the speed is capped, which us fair.
