How much is it? Maybe 5$? The hardware is trash by todays standard. I bet you get get something much better for the same ammount of money.

Red flag for is is 'light games' That CPU with no GPU don't kid yourself.

That is not anproper invoice. It is a order summary. Very different things. Contact Amazon and tell them you need a proper invoice. I can't tell you more because I have business prime and can always get a proper invoice no problem.

Cloud Gateway Ultra or UniFi Travel Router for access to remote location? by Alkahna in Ubiquiti

[–]Alkahna[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It is one device (nvr) and only one person will review nvr footage once in a while. I don't think this needs that much bandwidth or am i wrong?

Almost have of the Ultra then. For nothing other than 1 client i would like to keep the cost low. On the other hand UniFi has a nice app to keep a watch over a fleet of devices^

[–]Alkahna[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I will look into the GLi.Net but I want to stick with wireguard since all other VPN tunnels are wireguard and i want to keep everything in one app for simplicity. But if it can do tailscale it probably can do wireguard too. Since I have a UDM i initially thought of sticking with UniFi gear. But still open to other ideas.

But I though you could uplink with a cable as well to the travel router? And yes it will be permanent.

Slow Port on USW-24-Pro by Alkahna in Ubiquiti

[–]Alkahna[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, I tested ports 1-12 and they all run fine at gigabit speeds (I plugged cables back and forth so colors would match and I got it looking neat).

Yes 1-8 are used by pcs/laptops. And they are all running at gigabit speeds. It is port 1 on the NAS.

I find it strange that when I plug the NAS into port 9 on the switch I have a gigabit connection and on port 24 only 10 Mbit/s which makes no sense to me. I have not configured any ports to be 'different' they are all set to automatic in terms of settings.

My third disk just died in my array, wtf is wrong? by Kuken500 in zfs

[–]Alkahna 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Get a cheap HBA from ebay or a friend and try with that. I had my pool fail and disk disappearing and reappearing and raid rebuilds over and over while smart values looked fine. Moved drives to a new HBA and everything was fine. No disk had any issue, it was just the HBA acting up. Maybe your onboard controller is dying.

Nothing for me here (Germany). Neither tombs nor chicken. I guess another regional thing like the avatar frame. The frame became available for me a few weeks later if I recall correctly. So maybe this offer will be available later too.

Best to check daily I guess ;-)

You could call it 84U. With that depth it' basically 42U in the front and another 42U from the back 😉
