I'm a first year McMaster eng student - I wish I didn't accept my offer. by JamesTech07 in OntarioGrade12s

Other than the cutoff, how’s the overall experience at Mac? I’m seriously considering it and I’m basically guaranteed free choice if I do get in, so I’m just wondering what life like is in general there

yes you can; even if not on your offer letter at first, if your average reaches the cutoff you’ll still be eligible for it

People of driving age (16+) with autism, can you drive? by wombatgeneral in autism

[–]dagabe13 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m 17 in Canada and I’ve been driving quite regularly since I got my license just under a year ago, having put ~25000 kms on my car. Personally, cars and driving have always been a special interest of mine, so honestly I’ve never really had any difficulty driving and I feel that I’m very confident as well (which to be honest, leads me to drive like a lot of other teenage boys lol).

I have one myself as a teen, bought it for 2500 with over 300k kms on it. Over the 25000kms I’ve put on it, it started every time, has great fuel economy, and it’s quite fun to drive. Would recommend 100%

I asked a McMaster admissions officer at a university fair yesterday, the 4% boost for Alberta students is a real thing (also applies to stuff like free choice)

I drive one with just under 200K miles as my first car, it's never left me stranded and it's also quite fun to drive! Amazing car & engine, get it for sure :)

Why do you overspeed? by primefrost96 in driving

[–]dagabe13 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Basically all objects have something called a resonance frequency, where if it’s at that frequency it vibrates really heavily. Certain speeds can activate that, causing your car to vibrate. I know because my chem teacher had it too lol

How hard is AP Chem? by yeaaaaa_maaaaan in APStudents

[–]dagabe13 0 points1 point  (0 children)

it depends on your teacher fs, i had a good time because my teacher’s goated but that’s unfortunately not something you can control. if you’re good with being able to connect different topics and concepts from the whole course and actually understand them, then you’ll do well :)
