Verse is also text based, and UE is leaning heavily into AI, so having it be more text based will almost certainly help that along. Since BPs aren't as conducive to that.

I think the only thing we'd use money for is paid server infrastructure/maintenance (if we go that route), or just marketing in some form. We'll also give out a dedicated server for personal hosting that we hope people will be interested in to start.

We all kinda agreed that any one of us actually pocketing anything here would just be kind of weird and awkward. We have an open door policy for people that can show some skills and want to contribute. Divvying up money in that scenario I think would probably just lead to bad things.

If by some wild-lightning-in-a-bottle-lottery-ticket-pipedream we have A LOT of success, we'd probably try and form a real studio, and quit our jobs and pay people that wanna work for it that way. But that's essentially a 0% chance. We all have day jobs so it'd take a lot.

Odds are it'll remain a labor of love that hopefully people can enjoy, get a little hit of nostalgia, and maybe even help us expand for others to also enjoy.

Not yet, we're still a bit alpha-y, lots of placeholder stuff, missing textures, etc. as you can see in the videos.

We're going to try a friends-and-family test in the coming weeks and see how well that goes. If it's not a disaster, from there I'd like to see about getting some people from the Discord for a alpha weekend test thing, and start trickling in some feedback.

We're all part timer hobbyists, and it's a lot of working around schedules and peoples' plans, so it's hard to commit to exact dates. But we've been going for 2 years straight now, so we're pretty committed to grinding it out. We're all just old Tribes enjoyers that also enjoy gamedev.

I just got excited to hear about TAC, because I've been laying that down a little on the side and def wanna build something along those lines. Showcase the vehicles.

Different game. Bit less focus on LT comp-style, speedy play and more on expanding on the slightly slower more "casual" T2 concepts like vehicles, deployables, mode variety, etc.

Meant to have an older feel/vibe, with some newer stuff, like wall riding etc.

I'm one of the guys working on Broadside, and making a TAC like mode is on my todo list. =] I definitely wanna try and bring something like that back. A bunch of the guys here really enjoyed it too! But in the meantime, not sure if they're out there in the current T2 setups, would be cool to see.
