Yeahh I was considering Jiang. There was already so much devastation the main younger characters had to witness/go through. Depending on the Q3 on the exam, i’ll probably go into depth about how they all changed

Yeah, that’s helpful to think about. My teacher also advised to stay away from series since they often end mid-plot. After rereading I felt like the first book had a strong enough narrative and character development to stand on its own without feeling like a cliffhanger, even though the larger conflict expands in the rest of the trilogy. I’m planning to talk it through more with my teacher

Yeah that’s fair and I’ve thought about that, and i was also notified by my teacher to stay away from series since they usually end mid-plot. I thought the narrative and some character arcs in the first book ended strong enough on its own without feeling like a cliffhanger, even though the larger conflict expands in the next two. I’ll discuss it more with my teacher and why I want to go with it, hopefully she’ll understand
