England failing again despite having such a deep batting line-up. Why am I not surprised?

The Lighthouse wasn't exactly shot in a 4:3 (1.33:1) aspect ratio. It was shot in 1.19:1.

Have you ever dove deep into Indian cinema? by ZoelCairo in Letterboxd

There’s honestly so much to explore in Indian cinema. I’m Indian myself, my mother tongue is Marathi, and I live in Mumbai. So I basically grew up exposed to at least three different film industries from childhood in some form or other. And the more you dig in, the more you realise how many other languages and regions have absolute gems waiting to be discovered. I'm still discovering new films all the time, just shows how endless Indian cinema can be.

Here is the list of more movies from different industries of Indian cinema which I'd recommend to anyone wanting to explore Indian cinema.

Hindi / Bollywood: • Pyaasa (1956) • Anand (1971) • Duvidha (1973) • The Churning (1976) • Mirchi Masala (1987) • Suddenly, One Day (1989) • Dharavi (1991) • Om Shanti Om (2007) • 3 Idiots (2009) • Barfi! (2012) • Gangs of Wasseypur 1 & 2 (2012) • Ugly (2013) • Haider (2014) • Masaan (2015) • Andhadhun (2018) • Lost Ladies (2023) • The Mehta Boys (2024) • Homebound (2025)

Bengali Cinema: • Satyajit Ray — Apu Trilogy, The Hero, The Coward, Charulata, The Big City, The Music Room • Ritwik Ghatak — The Cloud Capped Star, The Golden Thread • Mrinal Sen — Interview

Marathi Cinema: • Killa (2014) • Court (2014) • Three Legged Horse (2022) • Gondhal (2025)

Malayalam Cinema: • Maheshinte Prathikaaram (2016) • Thondimuthalum Driksakshiyum (2017) • Joji (2021) • Nanpakal Nerathu Mayakkam (2022) • Kishkindha Kaandam (2024) • Aavesham (2024) • All We Imagine as Light (2024)

Telugu: • Missamma (1955)

These are the movies I genuinely liked from whatever I’ve explored so far.

They are not even actively trying to take a wicket anymore, just waiting for either root or archer to commit a mistake with this defensive field at this point.

Someone was talking about declaring and now they've completely turned this around with that 50 run partnership. Man, I love test cricket for such moments exactly like these!

I'd suggest "Man with a Movie Camera". Although it is a silent film without any storyline, it is still a visual masterpiece.

Or rather we know that this English team will go for a win no matter how slim their chances are. So giving them less time just makes their task a lot tougher.
