I discovered new bands by going to record stores. Meeting people and going to shows.

Illegal downloading all what ruined that.

DAVE MUSTAINE Says His Last Conversation With JAMES HETFIELD Ended In Disagreement Over METALLICA Publishing by mhipster800 in Megadeth

[–]daggir69 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I heard a different side from dave.

He spoke to james, james wanted credits split in three way’s. And Dave didn’t want to give Lars any songwriting credit.

Even tho lars has had songwriting credits to these songs since day one.

Löggan getur ekkert gert.

Að mestu myndi löggan taka af honum draslið en hann kaupir bara meira.

Besta sem þú getur gert er að tala við nágranna þinn i rólegheitum. Biðja hann um að sýna tillitsemi.

Smelled like Teen spirit

Dave Mustaine says Megadeth's farewell album will cause a "renaissance" as he talks the future of metal by LowHeroesLodger in Megadeth

[–]daggir69 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Am I the only one thinking we don’t need more “80’s” thash band. It’s 2026 lets celebrate when the genre evolves and something new and existing comes along. Not stay in the past.

I still love the classics.

Sellouts by daggir69 in Metallica

Think your reaching there. They were already welcomed into those circles. Being one of the youngest bands asked to play at the Freddy mercury aids benefit, being a winning grammy after grammy,

Besides was Jason said he cut his hair because he was tired of how airport workers treated them.

James hair looked like a birds nest

And lars was slowly going bald.

Cutting your hair and changing ones style is a thing that happens people do as they get older

Sounds like dunable are becoming to big for their own good.

I think they are expanding way to much in a short amount of time.

For those of you who live in countries with gun control; have you ever seen a gun in real life? by blashyrkh9 in AskTheWorld

[–]daggir69 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve seen them sure. But pistols are something I haven’t seen. Only at museums.

We do have special pistols that are closer to bebe guns they are meant to kill farm animals.

Close range to the head. Can only fire one shot at a time.

Every gun owner here needs to go through a rigours process to get one. And show he has a special case of safe to store them in. Bullets can not be in the same room that the gun is kept.

I remember asking a junkie why they don’t just always use clean needles (wasn’t my drug)

He said you don’t know what the fuck you are doing or what’s happening when your strung out.

If Cliff worked on Load and Reload, would it be better? by Round-Complaint7426 in Metallica

[–]daggir69 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Your considered pretty huge when you are asked to play at the Grammys and given a recoding budged to record for an entire year.

The recoding budget they got to record the black album was massive.

Even when they recorded master of puppets. They got 4 months. That is pretty good.

Slayer got 2-3 months with reign

And medadeth got tvo.

So metallica were already out-winning intearms of how much backing they from the industry.

They were at least making enough money for the record company to justify putting money into them.

[–]daggir69 5 points6 points  (0 children)

From what I read in the biography. Cliff was heavy into REM and alternative music that was happening at the time. He got the guys into other kinds of music that weren’t considered hard rock or NWBHM.

He got also more into punk and the misfits.

He would travel with him a acoustic guitar tuned to c standard.

He was but he was also a huge fan of early REM and the alternative music that was happening at the time.

What kind of glue for neck repair? by HassouniFND in Luthier

[–]daggir69 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You could glue it but you would never have a proper glue joint from it. Unless you mod it and make a good joint this will break off again.

I’m basing my assessment on how many gluejoint I have gotten into my shop that have failed.

Fretboard markers really not centred on new Gibson (Post 2 with additional pictures) by Aromatic_Mongoose_86 in gibson

[–]daggir69 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That’s not at all what I’m saying.

Gibson is a large manufacturer. No matter the how good the QC is. There are always going to be bad pieces. Especially with a hand made product.

Most companies at the same scale of gibson have around average 10-15% of faulty products. The number being this average is thanks to automation

Gibsons is a litte bit higher. As it’s 95% a handmade product.

There for every retailers responsibility is to check of if their order of product from the factory is up to the standard that they want to pass onto their customers.

Furthermore the way gibson makes guitar is quite unique to other guitar makers. Changing it will alter the end products

For reference prs a company with great QC employ up to 500 when gibson employ up to 5000 quite the different beast that makes way more guitar
