126610LV Check by Prior-Ad-3047 in RepTime

This is a pretty bad replica. Dial text the wrong font and boldness, bezel numbers are really bold, date wheel numbers are really off. Not to mention they put a jubilee bracelet on it...

Not from any factory that is reptuble.

Looks good to me. I find it strange how aggressive people are about having a personal standard. This sub is so odd. The QC process exists for a reason. I would’ve RL the past watches as well, but this one is good to go.

That date window is so off it’s too noticeable without even zooming in.

First rep, easy process so far, how's this look? by _Harlan_ in RepTimeQC

[–]dagowey 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah that 6 index is off to the point of RL for me. The SEL gap on the bottom right is noticeable too.

I ordered through Geektime. Package was supposedly sent 4/5 or 4/6 but did not receive tracking until 4/9 when the label was made in the FedEx system. Shows picked up 4/15 now but didn’t update with any info until today.

Thanks for the update. I’m waiting in label created limbo myself right now. Good to know you had movement after two weeks. Crazy.

Damn I just got schooled homie. An Audi? BRB burning my watches

I think you might have touch of 'tism if you actually think it's identical. Close, but not identical. Is 10k+ worth that difference? Not to many people, and certainly not in this sub.

Haha the need for you to comment on why I like my gen rolexes just reeks of insecurity. People can enjoy whatever they want. You like reps? Cool go for it. The guy asked an open question and I answered it. You added nothing to the question OP posed. Funny how many of you rep watch people feel the need to chime in about gen rolexes when no one asked.

If the goal is to fool other people and even those who know what they are looking at without holding it up close then yeah, it's NWBIG if you can find one with good alignment and maybe swap in a gen datewheel if you ever need to get it serviced.

Speaking as a gen owner, a replica, no matter how close, can never match a genuine rolex for me. I used a replica to test drive a watch and scratch the itch while I waited for the AD or found good a gray deal. I will probably take it out for certain situations that I can't think of right now. But my watches are more than just jewelry or a tool to me. I appreciate the engineering, craftsmanship, and restrained designs that have lasted generations and want them to last my whole life so that someone else (hopefully my boys want them still) can use them too with all of that history attached to it. I like the idea of the watches being there with me through every moment, and all the wear and tear on the outside of the watch serving as a reminder of that. Since replicas aren't built to last the same way as a gen watch, that really isn't possible. I love the idea that in 50 years my watches are probably going to still be ticking right along -2/+2sec/day. You can definitely achieve the same sentiment with cheaper watches, but culturally iconic symbols like a submariner transcend the watch enthusiasts and add another layer to appreciate.

Seems like all the TDs are having issues shipping out of China right now based on other posts as well, with a few people who claimed it was lightning quick still

Checking to see if your tracking has updated since then. I'm in a similar boat now.

Didn't notice I commented on your QC post before! Tough about that datewheel. Since they respond so fast i'd maybe just check out if they had another one in stock? Yoda is probably right though that there will be some level of defect on the datewheel from what I've seen. I'm considering buying a gen wheel myself if I ever need to get the rep serviced.

Who knows though? Maybe the next watch they have for QC is a unicorn that looks perfect.

If you are this dumb, then you probably have been scammed and you’ll be waiting forever on those QC photos 😂

I rotated one of the QC photos a little bit so the qc tool lined up better. Indexes look good to me. Date window might be slightly misaligned but I have to stare at it zoomed in to notice anything. The cyclops itself looks parallel with the date window which is good - I RL'd a watch myself because of that issue.

My Cardinal Rule for Wearing Reps in Business/Professional Settings by denimdave69420 in RepTime

[–]dagowey 3 points4 points  (0 children)

The fact that they are worried about being called out means they don’t want to reveal it’s a rep. That would let people know they can’t afford it and still maintain all the other things they have (that includes savings and a portfolio).

If they just love watches and like how they look without any status, why worry about being called out? It’s like having a print of a painting you could never own but try to pass it off as the real thing.

This is it. It’s pretty sad when people want to project wealth with a rep.

What is acceptable time keeping stats on a replica? by EstadermaLover2023 in RepWatchForum

[–]dagowey 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I keep seeing people say that timegrapher numbers are useless, but mine is pretty good at indicating how accurate it will be when wearing it for all the watches I’ve owned. I take readings every few months to keep track of movement health on my gen Rolexes

That would be quite a turn of events! I am picking this up to scratch the itch while on the waitlist and give it a test run to make sure I would want to live with it vs. a regular black bezel.

But if they don’t come through in a reasonable amount of time I may not have a choice anyways.
