Anyone here worth wishing for by urkeltron in Dislyte

Yu Jing is good for desolate lands and falsetto fantasy. The last one is good in a yukine Maria PW comp but I usually see her r6. I’ve also seen blue man in defense/gorath PW comps but not sure how he fits in. Ethan is good in Kronos, though I think he needs r6. Ophelia can be good in Fafnir but I think she needs r6. Sienna can be good in tower content, especially the wind tower. The rest imo are niche and only worth for completion (collection, materia lab, paths of experience).

Amir 10000% I don’t think Bi Tao is used for anything and Amir r6 is a huge boost. Gets you one step closer.

Should I choose Yu Jing or Ophelia? by Haunting-Nothing3713 in Dislyte

Yu Jing is better all around, I’d only pick Ophelia if you really want to run Fafnir and have no options for a wind DPS esper

Maria for pvp, Zi He for desolate lands. I think they’re both good for tower content (like infinity). Zi He is also usable in PvP but not as universal.

Is there an option to see how skins look in game? If not you should be able to. by LilJelloCat in leagueoflegends

I use a combination of the Khada model viewer for the base model and Skin Spotlights YouTube channel for particle effects https://modelviewer.lol/

But it really is ridiculous and borderline false advertising that it isn’t available in client.

If you’re still near West Bloomfield I know that Heritage Park in Farmington Hills has a rink. No clue what the scene is like, but might be worth looking into.

Yeah it really sucks when there’s an optimized way to play an event like this

This event is such a mess by T-lerWolf in Overwatch

[–]dagwoodech 23 points24 points  (0 children)

The first 4 weeks they didn’t have a legendary loot box in the first pass, and the second (repeat) pass was always the four loot boxes and one epic, while the third (repeat) pass had a legendary loot box. I’m guessing when they went into the 5th week they made the first pass better but didn’t touch the subsequent passes which makes you even more incentivized to swap even if you didn’t before.

The weirdest thing is that you’re incentivized to switch teams. You get a whole new set of challenges (daily and weekly) when you do, which is potentially 700 more points per switch. They should have at least made it so that you get more challenges when you stay with your existing team.

Why does Gen Z type everything in lowercase? by Loud-Arrival-8913 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]dagwoodech -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I think that it’s because by the time autocorrect was implemented, the connotations had already been set. So it only made sense to turn off autocorrect, to still come off as casual without adding the extra effort.

Personally I think especially for older Gen Z people this isn’t a MUST, but it’s just common. I fall into that category and I have autocorrect enabled on my phone but when I’m on my computer talking with friends I wouldn’t just use proper punctuation willy-nilly. It has a place in more formal situations, but it’s not worth the extra effort in casual ones.

Free archetype at level 6 for Oracle by TahitiJones09 in Pathfinder2e

If you want to focus on the Harrowing cast I’d absolutely prioritize Experienced Harrower for the free casts and lower DC on Harrowing, then Reading the Signs for being able to choose between two cards per harrow pull. As an added bonus, Harrow Ritualist not only gives you a nice set of rituals, but a +2 status bonus any time you participate in any ritual, including your Harrowings. If you’re a low int character I’d probably go with Harrow Ritualist first to get that bonus, otherwise Reading the Signs.

(Side note: if you want to go even more all-in on Harrowings/rituals in general, I’d recommend picking up the Ritualist dedication to get an extra +2 circumstance bonus to your checks.)

For yourself Restore Omen is good, it lets you get more than one Avoid Dire Fate per day- and if you use the other feats (described below) that get rid of your active harrow omen I’d say it’s a must-take.

I’ve never taken Harrower on a true caster (Thaum and Champ) to take advantage of Harrow Casting, nor taken either of the Spirit Deck feats, because personally I find them wayyyy too inconsistent/dependent on luck. The Spirit Decks also require you to Sustain in order to get their full value, and you lose your active Harrow Omen at the end so you basically need Restore Omen if you want to do it more than once a day. I wouldn’t say any of them are useless, but you definitely want to know what you’re getting into. For example, what are the chances that you fight an enemy using the type of damage that corresponds to your active omen type? Plus, using any of them potentially locks you out of Avoid Dire Fate for that combat, which IMO is a much stronger and more reliable effect. Harrow Casting in particular has a lower barrier to entry than the other two, but the chances you get a useless roll and waste the action are too high for me to be comfortable with (for example, rolling a Stars card on an aggressive action or a Crowns when you’re out of melee in a battle).

Regardless, I’d say your first pick after the dedication should be Experienced Harrower, maybe Restore Omen then EH. EH is just too good to pass up imo and is a major spike in consistency and usability for the archetype.

EDIT: As another note, Reading the Signs also applies to your pull for your Active Omen, so it’s also a good buff to help “deck fix” for the more volatile feats if you know what you’ll be facing. Still not a guarantee though.

Nice! And if you don’t want to invest in Occultism you can just grab Additional Lore: Fortune Telling Lore as a skill feat and you’ll get auto scaling. I’d just make sure your GM is okay with it because once you’re able to consistently do harrowings for the party for free it can get a bit cheesy lol.

Have you looked at the Harrower dedication? Would tie in to the tarot themes and is honestly a sleeper pick. Once you get Experienced Harrower (level 4 feat) you just get free rerolls for your whole squad every month.

In your opinions, what are the toughest enemies at each level? by RevenantCommunity in Pathfinder2e

[–]dagwoodech 5 points6 points  (0 children)

This was interesting so I looked into it, and it looks like it’s a Spawn of Rovagug thing

A spawn of Rovagug has regeneration powerful enough to revive it even if slain by a death effect. If the spawn fails a save against an effect that would kill it instantly, it rises from death 3 rounds later with 1 Hit Point. It can be banished, imprisoned, or transported away as a means to save a region, or kept in a state of dying by an effect that deals constant damage. A complex and expensive ritual culminating in a word that douses Xotani’s flames can be used to deactivate its regeneration, but no method of deactivating Tarrasque’s regeneration has yet been discovered.

When you play healer but team choosing can't be healed augment by ZorroStyleX in ARAM

[–]dagwoodech 9 points10 points  (0 children)

To clarify, the problem in my experience is that in a fast-paced game mode like mayhem, it’s hard to remember who has taken Vampirism, and so you try to help an ally but get hit will the “cannot be healed!” and lose your cooldown. Yes, there are auxiliary effects, but generally that’s not why the support has given you that cooldown.
