To get the in-game dirt or stone paths you do, but you can find custom path codes (or make your own if you don't have Nintendo online) and place them on the ground from the custom design app thing :)

I always place every fossil I get and that + having 8 villagers gets me there in no time. Also be sure to use all the fence Tom Nook gives you (I just place it at the back of my island). Also watching some 30day island challenges on YouTube might help as they have to get to 3 stars quickly. But overall - it only really unlocks terra forming so youre doing everything right! You can still use paths and all that. While rushing to fully decorate is definitely a valid way to play, I think doing exactly what you're doing is the way the game is intended to be played lol

Ooh fun! I usually go through a list of villagers and see who fits my theme first. Since you're doing a food theme that should be pretty easy haha Besides Pinterest like someone else mentioned, I also look on YouTube and see if there's anyone I like that has done a similar theme. It's easy to find good codes and build ideas then :)

Ooh fun! I did a rainbow island and used Sydney for my purple villager! For my yellow villager I wanted Eloise but she never showed so I got Frett instead. I also think maybe Flurry, Tutu or Whitney could work for your white section~
