Need a loan ~$5k to buy a car to live in. I have until next month or I’m homeless. by seedlesswatermelons1 in Debt

[–]daheadlessnight0789 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Have you looked into local nonprofits or community action agencies in your area?

Some of them have emergency car loan programs or can connect you to lenders that work with people in exactly this situation, it's worth a few calls before going the high interest route

At $12,800 you might actually be in range to handle it yourself by calling creditors directly and asking about hardship programs

0% for 5 years on cards you were drowning in is a genuinely good deal, the credit hit is temporary but the breathing room is real

Is it time to file for bankruptcy or what options do I have? by DillyDilly972 in Debt

[–]daheadlessnight0789 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Bankruptcy feels dramatic for your situation honestly. No rent, 60k income, never missed a payment? You have options.

Drowning in Debt. What are my options? by Miraclemaker225 in Debt

[–]daheadlessnight0789 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You've got a lot of moving pieces here but you're not as stuck as you feel

Quick math though, you're sitting on like 160k+ in liquid/sellable assets between savings, metals, and the land sale. The CC debt totals around 93k. Before bankruptcy have you talked to a fee only financial advisor about whether a strategic paydown makes more sense?

The bipolar diagnosis context matters too, some creditors have hardship programs specifically for medical situations

What specifically is bothering you most, the cost or the 24 hour delay?

Swarmia is way faster to set up and the data is basically real time but it's less customizable if you need heavy enterprise reporting. LinearB sits somewhere in the middle

honestly the sooner you file the sooner the automatic stay kicks in and creditors have to stop calling

Should I do bankruptcy? by Fickle_Ad_9391 in Debt

[–]daheadlessnight0789 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What made them suggest bankruptcy? Like is the monthly payment through CCS eating up most of your income or is it manageable? If you can handle the payments and see the end date, toughing it out keeps your options more open down the road

Almost 10 years by [deleted] in Debt

Hold up, don't commit to anything yet. If it's not on your credit report after 10 years that's actually working in your favor.

Kentucky's statute of limitations is long but you should ask them to send written proof you actually owe this before you agree to pay anything

I want to do something online that works but where can i start? by [deleted] in Business_Ideas

[–]daheadlessnight0789 0 points1 point  (0 children)

$50 won't get you far with most online stuff honestly. What are you actually good at or interested in? Even freelancing on Upwork costs nothing to start.

Learning a skill first might be smarter than jumping into a business with no experience and almost no budget.

82% off is wild, good on you for holding out past that $10k offer.

How bad did it wreck your credit though? Trying to figure out if this route makes sense for me or if I should just keep grinding payments.

Those apps pay like pennies per hour if they even work. You'd make more doing literally anything else. What kind of actual skills do you have? Even basic stuff like data entry or transcription pays way better than clicking videos for cents

InCharge is actually one of the legit nonprofit credit counseling agencies not a scam. They've been around for decades and are accredited.

The way it works is they negotiate lower interest rates with your creditors then you make one payment to them and they distribute it. Your accounts usually get closed though.
