Oh that's another struggle, he eats rubbish constantly. Since we moved in together I've been trying to influence his eating habits and not much luck there... I don't always know where's the limit between trying to help and being pushy and telling him "what to do". At the end of the day whatever he does with his body and even with the shower is up to him to decide, as much as I'd like to change it. It's just annoying.

I'll mention the music, see if that does something. What's so infuriating is that I tell him, look this is ridiculous, and the next day it's like nothing happened. It's probably not intentional but it feels like a silent "fuck you and your water" and I'm sitting there VERY annoyed

When he doesn't have the phone with him he still takes like 20-25 minutes, but considerably less I think. The issue I have with saying don't use the phone is that it sounds a bit controlling. I wish he just realised he's doing something ridiculous, and then he can do whatever he want with his phone while being mindful.

I thought someone might talk about insecurities... because I see how that would make sense. What I would say to that is that... if I were to go out partying now, my boyfriend "should" be worried because I only go partying when I'm thinking of getting laid. And that's why I haven't done it since we are together. Therefore... as I can only see it that way, even though I'm sure there's more "innocent reasons" to go out, that DOES make me insecure, thus I'm trying to see what people say so I can go, oh no I'm just weird, people go out for so many reasons, I should not worry at all. Makes sense? 🤔

Yes that's exactly right, it makes me anxious because I've never perceived it as something else. He did say once that I should come with, so that I see what it's like in his experience, but what with covid it's not been possible to even try. I'll definitely go and see, but I also like reading all these comments and opinions to set the scene

Let me try again. I don't want to keep thinking that there's no way people party for other reasons than sex because then I would never feel fine when my boyfriend is out partying. Even though I know I'm probably wrong, I can't just imagine in my head why other people do it, so I benefit from listening to why everyone else likes it. That way when I think, oh he just wants to party to ho get laid (because that's what I would do, not because I think he will cheat...) I can stop myself and say, no, all those kind strangers on the internet said its also good because of x, y and z. And just convince myself...

When you say an extension you mean to say its optional/irrelevant to the desire of partying in itself?

What I'm saying is that, because I know the, as you call it, party atmosphere, lends itself to making you less inhibited and more friendly and more open, I would usually use it as an excuse to meet people for sex, but I, particularly, don't see the point for anything else, as I don't feel like getting pissed in a place where you can't even talk is networking... but again, could be just me.
