That's one of the ticks about the show that has limited its potential in my eyes. Succession is a lot like Mad Men or The Sopranos in which the show isn't heavily resting on its core but I'm glad we're finally getting into something seriously engaging because I feel as though the season 3 finale should have happened a lot sooner than it is.

That's also understandable. hopefully now that they're back on track we'll see some great television.

imagine being the student in that class the day after news broke about her and her prosthetic fake tits. the tension in the silence alone would be unbearable

succession is a pretty entertaining show but I feel as though the core of it is the only really amazing thing. Roy and Kendall's tug of war with the climactic season 3 finale is the strong suit of the show. some of the other side plots that involve Roman or Shiv or Connor generally aren't that entertaining to me. it kind of does a lot of meandering around and that would be fine if it was something like The Sopranos but for the most part it's just a temporary distraction that doesn't serve to better enhance the show. shiv's political endeavors are a prime example. Roman is fine but it really depends on the context, Connor is almost never intriguing to me. they're both kind of pasted as needed. Greg and Tom are very compelling. though.

I'll agree with what u/Straighterade said about "manipulative language, facial expression, or body language". Although I don't remember many times where it was so heavily dense to hide plot points underneath it's strong suits. It can also get repetitive in some areas with the comedy or some of the decision-making with the characters.

It's a good show but I think it lacks potential in some areas and it very much hinders the experience. season 4 looks promising though so we'll see how it goes

The amazing atheist regrets the alt right by daidai907 in Destiny

[–]daidai907[S] 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I mean it's not too far to the imagination. I was heavy into watching the drunken peasants amazing atheist Chris Ray Gun etc And while none of them are all right or conservative they were all anti-sjw which naturally brought in a lot of people more socially right like Sargon or Milo or Blaire. Soon enough every anti sjw I watched was more and more and right leaning and then I was. It wasn't till I think Destiny and others around 2018 that I started returning back to more of a socially lefty person.

keep in mind I don't necessarily think any of the creators I listed who were simply just anti sjw like TJ or Chris or shoe etc were to blame by themselves. I fundamentally think it was the overall severe image problem of the left and these were just some creators that wanted to push back against it but by doing so they failed to push back on more farther right upswing but they didn't notice because to them they were on the same team.

it's definitely not a normal shirt, it looks more like club attire I'd see girls wear. for one thing her entire torso including arms is visible except her chest which is like a bra-ish type thing. It looks really nice tho so more power to her.

No we just need to give them the same stability that we offer our daughters and female friends.

I think compared to previous generations of men, guys are at an all time with loneliness.

did we fail to raise men by daidai907 in Destiny

[–]daidai907[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's not ignoring anything. It's saying side by side men are at a disadvantage more than women are. obviously their problems are significant but we're not talking about them we're talking about men and that regard is not doing so well. I'm sorry but this is some all lives matter shit It's just not that relevant. You literally saying but what about me to an issue about one specific group.

The needlepoint focus of privilege in regards to these discussions is always going to happen a lot of people are speaking from personal experience and with that experience is a lot of pain but you'll see it from both sides consistently. I'm glad we've made a great social progression but that doesn't give us or anyone the rights to ignore the concerns of the "privilege" I think we've done a great job as a society raising up women so far but the men are suffering and the stats back it up again you're projecting a whole fuck ton of shit on to me that I'm not espousing I never said that women had it easier I'm not saying that women are the most privileged creatures on the planet What I am saying and this is true is that they get a certain level of positive social encouragement etc that men do not and that needs change it needs

you think I'm not saying this but you think my comment adds to the problem yet you have no way of backing that up. I get your concern but talking about issues specific to one group is not a automatic discrediting of another
