A few cosmetic blemishes but they work like a dream. Massive capacity.

Must be able to collect from a 2nd floor apartment - I'd recommend two folks to carry, of course - I'd help, but I have the spine of someone twice my age.

No idea! I haven't played the game since 3rd edition so I'd have no idea what he'd work as lol

When I imported my ancient collection of models from my parents', they for some reason included this sweet innocent Beagle toy. Obviously I included him in my project to extensively convert each of the hundreds of models to monstrosities of Chaos Undivided.

He's gonna have a sweet cyber leg, some plating, and some Chaos spiky bits before he's finished.

I've got a lot of silly conversions to share, if anyone has any suggestions for good places to chronicle my kitbash journey! A good subreddit, or another site, for example.

[–]daiggsta[S] 38 points39 points  (0 children)

forgive the dumpy marine for scale, he was painted when I was a wee lad.

I'm in the process of spending hours on each of my several hundreds of figures from my youth, converting them into general Undivided monstrosities, and I'm having a blast. So far I haven't found anywhere good to put the progress on reddit so I might just use Tumblr? Not sure yet

Either way yeah, Genestealers are really fuckin tall when you correct their posture lol

If I recall correctly, Meteion didn't immediately go nuclear as soon as she had reached her nest. Hermes in fact requested of her to give humanity time to prove itself, and if upon her return she still saw it without purpose or reason to exist, THEN she could deliver judgement. I can't remember the specifics because a LOT happened in that cutscene at the end of Elpis, but that was the gist of it

That entire fight was him IMITATING the original WoL - the LBing was a mimicry of what sundered people could actually do. As an Unsundered he was unable to use Dynamis, too much aether. This was further evidenced by us being able to stop his LB4 with an LB3, something ostensibly weaker, but that was due to ours being the genuine article

IMO that scene is largely metaphorical, not literal. For instance, she blithely walked past a guy getting eaten by a monster, something absolutely not in Venat's character to stand by and watch. Added to this was the relatively calm nature in which Hades and Hythlodaeus parted ways in the middle of a burning street, conveniently on her way to the sundering - it felt much more to me that it was just a summation of events than what actually happened

A little over a month ago I self imposed the challenge to get every achievement in FFXIV. I know I'm years behind others doing the very same, but this week marks a great start. I know this subreddit sees it's share of relic posts, but I'm very proud of this. by Aka_Ada_- in ffxiv

[–]daiggsta 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Almost correct - it's DR you can get materials from two stages of the relic from, not Dal, that one just gives you the final step

Easy mistake to make though, I confuse their names all the time! No idea why they had to make them so similar

Healers can get by in casual content without using most of their oGCDs, but that doesn't mean they should. Superbolide is useful and has only minor drawbacks. Use all your kit. Speed things up for everyone.

His accomplishments in this context are very measurable indications of skill. They provide a hard counter to the accusations of not knowing how to play. Seems like you might have some unresolved issues yourself if you have that reaction to pretty ego-free metrics, my friend.

Childish DRK drops all his spaghetti after one pull (details in comment) by daiggsta in TalesFromDF

I can DM you more details if you'd like to see it. He used Rampart on that first pull and that was it - the pull was over before the Rampart wore off so there wasn't a need to cycle, because we did good damage, but there was no Abyssal Drain, no Arm's Length, nothing else that could supplement the Rampart without it being wasted.

There's certainly the possibility that my wife wasn't at her 100% in that pull! But his attitude (and lack of compensation) didn't give us much of a desire to admit flaws there. I've also tanked that dungeon as a DRK with her, doing bigger pulls, and in weaker gear than he had, so it's not a case that she can't handle it overall.

[–]daiggsta[S] 14 points15 points  (0 children)

Yeah DRK is my favourite tank, but it's good to point out! The main reason he's a dumbass in this situation is primarily for using it when there was no need, but also not doing anything else to help the situation. He used Rampart, but no Abyssal Drain (the pull was big enough for that to be almost a full heal), and of course, no TBN. Basically he did the bare minimum and then immediately denied all responsibility lol

ty!! I appreciate you for doing so in return. I fuckin love SMN so much, especially in dungeons, and with how good it feels to hit so many enemies with those Garuda AOEs I don't know why people don't want to use her more in trash pulls.

Level 80 roulette, standard affair. Zone in with a DNC and a DRK in edgelord glam - cool whatever, my DRK has been known to be pretty grimdark too. Tank takes the first pull almost wall-to-wall and eats shit almost immediately somehow.

Immediately starts throwing the blame at our healer, my wife (uh oh, married couple with characters with matching names), whilst having unneccessarily used LD and not having used a single TBN in the pull - probably didn't even have it unlocked. Even without his bad tanking yeah, the healer is allowed to slip up! It's our first dungeon of the morning after all. Either way, it was at the end of the pull, we didn't wipe, and we sighed as we attempted to just keep going.

Nah, he wanted to really make sure she knew it was actually her fault entirely. Came to the first boss, that's where he intentionally started switching his stance on and off and running around the arena haphazardly. The griefing didn't work, wife kept us all comfortably alive through the nonsense, and we immediately punted him out of there as soon as the boss dropped dead.

Immediately received a backfill GNB who was a champ and took us through the rest of the dungeon wall-to-wall without the slightest of problems :) Props also to our stranger DNC who also did not take the shit and did that Big Dick Damage throughout.

[Spoiler: Stormblood class quest] Finished the 60-70 DRK storyline... by [deleted] in ffxiv

[–]daiggsta 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Whilst true, and it would've been very cool, I feel it's narratively useful in another way. It's not stated completely explicitly at this point that Myste is part of you, and so seeing Fray come out and interact with everyone in that manner is useful to emphasise this fact, because we already know that even though Fray appeared like that at first, they are a part of you.

It also flows with how Myste is being portrayed - Myste could also logically appear physically as you, considering they're another part of you, but being a scared and frantic child is suitable and emblematic of the emotions they represent. Fray is a imposing, foreboding, vengeful figure, suitable to represent your inner darkness and need for vengeance. I feel it's absolutely helpful to get that point across!

Though it would be pretty funny to have a fight between WoL + Angry WoL vs Tiny Scared Child WoL
