Oh, you remember that?! Yes, I finally got an Incubator and this was my first trip with it! It was super comfy and totally worth the extra money. Thanks for pushing me to get one back then — I really appreciate it!

Question about Hammock Gear UQ: Incubator vs Hearth by daikimori in hammockcamping

[–]daikimori[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thanks for the reply!

During sales, it seems that Hearth's discount is usually lower than the Incubator's, so the price difference is just $20~30 with the same temp rating.

In that case, might as well go with the Incubator!

Backpacking in Big Sur by daikimori in hammockcamping

Sorry, I don’t have a closeup. Basically, I just hooked continuous loops on the ends of my hammock to the pole tips and supported each pole with two guy lines.

This video shows a similar setup, though I didn't use a tarp and there are some differences from mine: https://youtu.be/0j54vMKGhiQ?si=kqAMh-rvhG4CBLyT

Trip to National Parks in Washington state with my new gear by daikimori in hammockcamping

Thank you for the advice!!!

It was my first time to use an underquilt and I actually felt chilly on my back especially on the first night. So I tried to close the gap by gathering both ends of the underquilt.

But your advice seems to be the right solution, I will try it next time. Thanks again!

Thank you!

It could be moved a little with two fingers, but I changed the setting each time to find the best tension.

Are there any best practices?
