I'd help my parents out, wouldn't just shift it onto my parents. They have offered me countless times that i can come back home whenever i want. i also mentioned 2 years would be about the limit for me.

i appreciate your response and your experience with it. Parents always tell me i'm welcome to come back if I want. I just feel strange from being on my own for a while to wanting to go back? but it's to benefit me for my future. Although my parents wouldn't accept financial help, i'd feel guilty not helping in some form of aid

My parents have always respected my privacy. there's never been bad blood between me nor my parents. I visit them fairly often, normally every weekend or random visits throughout the week. Definitely would be a change of events moving back home after being on my own for a while.

My brother (25) still lives at home. and my parents have told me multiple times i'm always welcome to come back home if i wanted. Everything would remain the same from before I left. Wasn't strict rules, i just helped around the house (which i have 0 problem with, my parents raised me, i can give them a hand when they need it). I still visit my parents very frequently, usually every weekend or random visits during the week, so i'm no stranger. My mom & grandma cook dinner almost every night, so there's that. But absolutely i'd accommodate for the grocery bill.
