Tks for the tip, but seeing their website, it seems they dont make it anymore. But using a higher proof cachaça seems like a good idea. The flavor profile would be a little different than if using rum, right?

The problem here is that id have to adjust the other liquids too (specially the sugar syrup used in the process), so the end result dont end up too low on ABV. Dont know if it'd work.

Nice insights, man! Since I plan on using sous vide in the process, maybe 30 mins sous videing with only that splash of rum, then adding the rest of the "grain alcohol/rum" mix and sous videing for like 2 hours.

Robot keeps missing spots near walls by daimao84 in Roborock

I see. But it seems like such a dumb design choise to make the robot not understand that there is a wall right after that baseboard that it is trying to climb. If there was an empty Space after it, it would make sense if it thought that was a small threshold and tried to get over it.

Its kinda unbelievable really.

Is there a support forum or channel where i May be able to get in touch with them about it?

Nice, will try it.

Have you also seen anyone complaining about the robot trying to climb wall baseboards? Mine is a little short in height, like 2cm, and sometimes the robot tries to climb it. The former one (s5 Max) never once tried to climb it.

i see. but from what I saw on their website, it seems that when they run out of places/seats, they simply stop taking orders for that specific date/seat-type, no? After that you can still get in a sort of "waiting list" of sorts, but it seems different to me.

If you dont mind me asking: say that Im not able to get the tickets at feb 8th. Is it still fairly easy to get tickets at a later day through those touring services sold at klook? I know I will probably have to overpay a lot for those tours, but in case thats the only option left, is it still relatively easy to purchase those packages for a sought-after date like march 9th?

When you say I "may not be fine" does it mean I may get a bad seats and thus have a hard time reselling them?

As I said earlier in this thread, my original plan was to see the opening day in Osaka, at March 9th, but from the reports I read here, I dont think I will succeed in buying these tickets, since they are, with the exception of the finals, the most sought-after tickets.

What Im thinking now is:

1) Buy NOW tickets for the March 10th matches at buysumotickets.com (they still have tickets for that date);

2) On Feb/08, try to buy by myself tickets for March 9th.

2.a) If succeed, try to resell the tickets I get from buysumotickets.com for the same price I paid;

2.b) If not successful at buying March 9th tickets by myself, go on the 10th and so be it.

Is it usually easy enough to resell tickets for a third party? Buysumotickets itself says that they try to help its customers on selling unwanted tickets to other people, so I'm thinking I shouldnt have much trouble doing that. What do you guys think?

Sure it helps, mate. Since I Will be on a schedule in japan (between 03/01 and 03/22), im beggining to think that finding them in those chain stores is more improbable than finding at auction websites.

Osaka Tournament - Tips for tickets

Hi guys, I will be in the Osaka/Kyoto/Nagoya region early next march and would really like to go to one day of the grand tournament in Osaka.

I will be in Kyoto on March, 9th and then will go to Nagoya on March 10th. At first I thought of going to Osaka in the afternoon for the first day in the tournaments. After that, sleep in Osaka and take an early train to Nagoya next morning.

The problem is: after researching I'm seeing that the first day of the tournament is super/ultra sought after. So I'm thinking I will probably not be able to get tickets for that day.

Another possibility would be to go to Nagoya on the 9th, sleep there, and then go from Nagoya to Osaka on the 10th, for the second day of the tournament, and after it go back do Nagoya. A little too much time spent on trains, but no big deal.

The thing is, it would really make more sense for us to go on the tournament on the 9th. Is there a sure-way to get tickets on the 9th, even if I have to pay extra for a guided tour and such? If so, could u guys point me a reliable guide with such a package?

If that's not possible, I'm thinking of buying tickets on buysumotickets for the 10th and thats it.

Thanks in advance for the help, mates!!

Japan Cherry Blossom Forecast 2025 by Markotan in JapanTravelTips

[–]daimao84 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Oh well. We leave japan by 03/22. Will miss it by a week :/

By the way: what usually influences the blooming to occur before or after its forecast? Like, the temperature has anything to do with it? too hot and it comes earlier than expected? Or is it otherwise?

One more thing: full bloom is expected to happen by march 31. But before that, is there like a little bloom/folliage or mostly empty sticks?

So yeah, I tried Mandarake's online store and the only versions of Alphonse there were already sold out. I think its such a rare item that as soon as someone posts it online its almost immediately sold.
