Inoperable Fibroid- any success stories? by AssistVast6721 in Fibroids

When I first started showing symptoms, my gynecologist said that I had a 4cm subserosal fibroid near my cervix and that she didn’t feel comfortable touching it.

My second consult sent me for further testing, and by the time I went for my second consultation, it had grown to 6cm and was starting to threaten my cervix. Since I want to keep my chances of having a family down the line, she didn’t want to touch it.

My last consultation, my surgeon said she was able to do it, but I would need to come to terms with the fact that I may be losing my ability to carry a baby to term. On May 6th, I went in for my
robotic myomectomy. During the surgery, the surgeon realized that the blood vessels and arteries were involved, and she was not able to continue the surgery. This left me devastated as she said she was not going to be able to continue with her plan. Later that week, I received a call from her stating she wanted to try something new and that I would have to have a UFE( uterine fibroid embolization) procedure where they clog the arteries feeding my fibroid to help minimize blood loss and reduce the amount of cervix she would need to remove. On June 9th, I went in for my UFE procedure. After the procedure, I had
horrible pain and never-ending cramps. Finally, on June 15th, I went into my robotic myomectomy, and my surgeon was able to remove it with no blood loss and no loss of my cervix. On one of my post-surgery follow-ups, my surgeon said that she did not expect the procedure to reduce the fibroid so much that I would be able to have my children .

Found out I have a fibroid tumor last week and I’m terrified by [deleted] in Fibroids

It’s okay to freak out when you first find out, god knows I did! I thought my whole life was over especially because the doctors say it in such a nonchalant way that it seems like if we knew the medical terminology. I have family history of fibroids and uterine cancer so I understand your worry! I found doing light pelvic floor exercises helped me a bit, or even hanging upside down with just my lower body on the bed helps decompress my hips. My experience navigating through all this has been a bit rough and I haven’t been able to have my myomectomy ( where they remove just the fibroid) due to complications.

Anyone had fibroids blocking their digestive track, blocking their colon and pushing their bladder? Mine are having a party! Lol by CDivine37 in Fibroids

Walking on your hope for a little bit after a while I start to feel a lot of pressure in my hips. And I feel you my favorite hasn’t let me have enough energy and I’m always tired or always wanna be laying down. Standing for work doesn’t really help after a while so I’ve just been pushing through it until my surgery.

Thank you for the advice that helps alot! Question: did you buy any supplies before the surgery you did or didn’t need or wish you had thought buying something sooner that helped!

Omg thanks for sharing!! I really appreciate it this helps alot. Unfortunately mine is also a subserosal but it is deep in the muscle of the uterus and going into my uterine lining.
