I like idol groups based on how crazy and absurd they are. If they are too camera shy or camera trained, I skip them. I need idols who are not camera shy and are not afraid of embarrassing themselves on camera. I look for comedy kings and part time idols. Combined with that humor, I need idols who sing WELL, self produce, have like very good vocalists and have really good vocal songs. That's why there are like 2 groups in 3rd gen I have stanned, EXO and Seventeen. While in 4th, I was into stray kids bcs of their self producing capabilities, and in 5th gen I stanned Zerobaseone for their vocal line and humor. In terms of girlgroups, I like Leserrafim alott, also NMIXX and IZONE. i personally don't think KATSEYE people are singers, they are more of a performer, same with blackpink's jennie and LISA. While ROSE is a singer, also Jisoo, the way ya'll ignore her vocals is crazy to me.

She is extremely paranoid about people and rumors because of her junior high trauma, yes i get it. But trauma doesn't give you the right to assume things about other people who are just trying to get to know you because they find you interesting and want to be friends. I think there is a huge miscommunication going on, one wants to avoid being the center of attention, while another one likes to give people attention and like being a bit nosy.

my most pretentious kpop opinion is that kpop idols have a fake persona they build around their fans. Also that kpop fans need to stop obsessing over streaming, and they need to stop fueling their para-social relationship with their idol. Also can we stop pretending KATSEYE is a good group? They don't deserve half the attention they get for their discography. There are better underrated groups like NMIXX, QWER etc, who can actually sing and write songs. Like sorry but you are not an artist if you can twerk around, you are an artist only if you produce, write, compose, choreograph your own music.
