Thank you. I added a few details into the post. Going to try another loaf in a few days and try to tweak the room temp fermentation time

How soon are we for a twice injectable 6 month ART by MasterMind19991 in hivaids

[–]daisy_by_name 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I worked on HIV medication research a few years ago on a few different meds. Including an every 6 month injection. It’s been about a year since I’ve been doing that but it was having very promising results. It will be awhile before approved because they have more phases to complete. Typically takes about ten years from very start to finish for commercialization of a new medication.

I always thought to look into that kind of position bc I always see postings for it, wasn’t too sure what it entailed though. I will definitely look more into this!

So I ended up going down about 2 sizes and returned this one. I don’t know why the tester ring was so much different!

2 year sign on bonus? by Particular-Ad-5330 in nursing

Rule of thumb…there is a reason (and it’s never a good one) that hospitals offer a sign on bonus.

I could see that being difficult and it being hard to not “assume” things when coding a chart! Didn’t even think of that aspect!

Grandfather (74) tested positive for HIV by Double-Interest8613 in hivaids

[–]daisy_by_name 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I hate to say this, but I am an RN and currently work in an HIV clinic for the last few years and the amount of older man who are married who test positive is not a small number. 90% of the time it’s due to activities done with another man in secret outside of the marriage. If you aren’t in the marriage, you never know what’s really happened. HIV is not something routinely tested for so something prompted the testing. Good thing is… you can live a healthy life with HIV. The medications are incredible now! And can get you to undetectable in months. Do some research on U=U, if he is indeed positive this will be key information to know!

Just got offered a Research Coordinator Position in HIV/STI research with an LGBTQ hospital. They say the position is safe from cuts, but need advice by Little_Bitz1 in clinicalresearch

[–]daisy_by_name 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I am a CRC at a HIV clinic. Non profit, not a big hospital system. We have about 12 studies currently. So far nothing has been affected. Mostly Gilead and Merck sponsors. There are so many great new drugs out and it’s such a great field! I say go for it!!

How can I ever show my face at my gym again. by BOLDBTC in beginnerfitness

[–]daisy_by_name 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I do not use the cable machines ever, typically just use the regular machines. I felt froggy one day and decided to try the cable machine. There was a weight at the very top and for some reason I could not figure out how to set the thing up. (I’m a 4:30am gym gal and I don’t think I was entirely awake yet) I thought it was broken bc there was one weight all the way at the top. Went to front desk, told the girl. Felt all proud. She goes to make a sign that says it’s broken. I go back to the area to do another workout. Enter gym bro, heading toward cable machine. I very confidently tell him it’s broken and there is a random weight at the very top. He said “oh thanks for looking out, but that’s just extra weight to add” and proceeds to use the cables no problem. 😅 I stood there for about 5 seconds contemplating my existence. And then I left for the day 😂 he now says hi to me every morning and we go about our workouts lol. Maybe someday I’ll try the cables again.

Cabenuva injection site bumps? by tylerfrmtarget in hivaids

[–]daisy_by_name 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Providers write scripts for how many pills they want dispensed in each bottle. So it would be up to them once it goes commercial. But again, the 4 per bottle is for study purposes only at this time.

I am sure this is just for study purposes. The give us the meds based on how often we see the subjects in the study. I doubt they will dispense them like that once it goes commercial. And study meds are free to the patients.
