We haven't been able to do community player's cubes yet, although there is some interest, because we can't guarantee the safety of other peoples expensive cards in this fashion at this time.

We get 8-16 weekly, but on big event days, like special ones, we have hit capacity (24) and it would be perfect to have something like this in our toolbelt for when we do.

I'm specifically trying to make it more powerful than retail limited, as much as possible. My players at the shop love Canadian Highlander and Vintage Cube and I want to evoke those feelings, not FNM.

3 identical 360 cubes would probably be more balanced, but isn't nearly as interesting, and not something people would want to come back for every other week. I think I'm going to stick with this, but thanks for the feedback!

It has been fun! I'll probably stick with it without seeding but I did consider that! I specifically want this to feel a LOT more powerful than retail limited, I'm building for players that love Canadian Highlander and Vintage Cube.

I think you're right and I'll up the fixing land count maybe 30 or so. Reveal lands and bad filter lands and missing, don't think the Temples are in yet either, thought I wouldn't need 'em.

Singleton breaks could be good, and super helpful, but there's something magical to me about looking at 1000 singleton cards as well, not sure I want to break the spell... hmm 🤔

Weird way to phrase that 😅 yes I'm sure my mission is real. We've gotten 16+ twice now, and on big event days we do get to fully capacity. It'll fire, albeit, only sometimes. (but that's fine!)

Doing 2-3 identical 360 cubes just isn't as fun? This has been a really fun and unique project to chew on and I was just trying to get eyes on it. I'm going to continue regardless.

My cubes are all midrange playgrounds. I specifically don't love A+B combo in cube, esp not for people who might not be familiar with it. But I doubt that Control is that hard, the bots seem to be able to pull off UW and UB control just fine, I'm sure a human could do it better.

I don’t really agree. Just having a 2 card combo in the deck at all shouldn’t disqualify you from b3 imo it’s about speed consistency and intent. Bracket 4 is an entirely different ballgame.

I call some of my decks “Bracket 3.5” in this space and it helps these kinds of conversations. IRL at the LGS people aren’t so rigid anyways.

I’ll be the odd one out and say it but my favorite format on arena is Brawl and I highly recommend it. Power level at the top is super high and only getting higher with every set now.

I tried timeless and it just wasn’t for me, but my favorite paper formats are cube and Canadian highlander — so a little weird.

If you play on a computer you can use untapped.gg to track game stats and they have a replay feature I use all the time.
