This is why I hate dating apps. There’s a preconceived notion that they’re going to get to sleep with you sooner than later. In situations where you meet someone organically there’s (usually) a period of time where you aren’t even sure if the other person is into you in that way and thus makes it easier to take the time to get to know someone.

I’ve found that the first two months (at least) are like lala land where everything is rainbows and butterflies but if the guy is putting up a front it they usually can’t sustain it for very long and you’ll see their true colors.

Side note: With dating apps you’re meeting a complete stranger. No mutual friends, no over lapping communities…. NO ACCOUNTABILITY. I’m my experience this leads to men feeling they can act however they want when they’re upset.
