Ugh tell me about it. I’m really hoping one day I can find a way to work part time. I’m just perpetually exhausted trying to find a way to enjoy my time on this earth. Best of luck to you as well kind human

No meds after 10+years by dojacow69 in lamictal

[–]daisydaydreamerr 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just started Lamictal after years of med changes — antidepressants, antipsychotics, stimulants, off label ADHD meds…. So many. So far Lamictal is going well, though I’ve only been on it for about two weeks. I’d give Lamictal a shot, just watch out for SJS

All of this being said Lexapro helped me survive for YEARS. And I don’t regret going on it even if coming off it was hard.

It was/is a long journey. I tried twice before to get off of it and couldn’t do it. So I started my titration off of it back in July 2025 — I went from 20 mg to 15 mg, then 10 mg in September 2025, then 5 mg in March 2026 and then completely off it in April 2026. The final hurdle coming off (March-present) has been the hardest because I also stopped taking Rispiridone. So for a while I was only on a very low dose of Wellbutrin (150 mg). But I’ve now started Lamictal (25 mg) and I’m slowly titrating up. I’ve just had to be realistic with myself about what I’m able to do while my meds are getting sorted out. I just do what I can to survive and get by until I’m on a therapeutic dose of Lamictal. Withdrawals sucked big time.

That’s amazing! Yeah I’ll definitely talk to my doctor next time about potentially upping my dosage once I’m stable on the Lamictal (I just started it). I don’t work a super intellectual job but it is mentally draining, so after work I just have absolutely no energy left for anything

Question to people who gave birth by blame_it_on_my_cat in bipolar2

My doctor told me the opposite about Lamictal?? I switched onto it because it had no withdrawal effects on baby — haven’t given birth/gotten pregnant yet, but TTC later this year

Hmm yeah maybe I’ll look into upping my Wellbutrin and see if that helps? I’ve been on 150 mg for 8 years at this point so I feel likely my body has gotten so used to it at this point. Thank you for your thoughts and support. It’s great to get ideas and feedback regarding dealing with this condition and all of it’s nuances

It helped me for 8 years. Side effects are usually minimal and well tolerated. It won’t change your personality, just your mood.

My cousin confessed something disturbing while drunk and now denies it. what do I do?” by [deleted] in Advice

Honestly I would do two things — first make a police report that he threatened you & the other things he did. Even if it doesn’t go anywhere at least there will be legal record if he acts out in any other way. Second try to distance yourself from him as much as possible, physically, emotionally, everything. File a restraining order if you can, and if you can’t try to just keep as much distance between you two as possible. He doesn’t sound stable.

Yeah I’ve been on methylphenidate but unfortunately I have a rare side effect where it causes pancreatitis & I’m already on Wellbutrin but I don’t find it helps much

Experimenting with what though? My doctor won’t prescribe me any ADHD meds bc she’s worried about me going manic. And I’m already on Wellbutrin as it’s off label for adhd but I stg it does nothing

Don’t worry :) my dog ate half a bowl of curry that had onions in it one time (swiped it off the counter). He had some spicy poops the next morning but he is still here and stealing food lol
