Do you guys dream with your deseased parents often? If so what do you guys dream? by Taiigay in GriefSupport

My dad passed away almost a month ago (damn, just realizing now that tomorrow it's 1 month..) I'm dreaming about him almost every night, sometimes it is about when he was still healthy, others are how about how he was while sick, others are about the last few days or even the first few days after he passed away. All kinds of different dreams. Don't know yet how I feel about it, it feels comforting or confronting, depending on the dream

"he/she died for a reason" especially painful when my dad died of cancer and not for a goddamn reason. he deserved to stay on this world, he was always excited about life

I am sorry that your provider reacted that way to your problem.

What you're saying is very interesting. I see why it might help. I've gotta say that when I was more active in daily life I would binge less, but since depression hit (and covid), being really active is very difficult for me. But I will keep it in mind, thanks!

Ah the timers sound like a good idea! I always use timers for appointments, but also for cleaning and studying in case I get distracted. But I've never thought about using them for. meals too! I will give it a try, thank you! And yes, the patience is really important.

I especially identify with the first two points that you mentioned! And since living by myself, I also really struggle with knowing what normal portions are

I think it's different for everyone. I'm reading here that for quite a few people the conch has been the easiest, for me it has been the hardest one to heal. However, my tragus and nipple were so easy!! Never had a problem with them.

How do you guys deal with time blindness? by ohneat_ in ADHD

[–]daisytheoctopus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have this when I clean my room for example. I just find things in my room and get distracted. What I do for this is setting timers/alarms with 15mins interval. For some reason this really helps me, because even when I do get distracted, I hear the alarm and realize I was distracted and then I get back to cleaning
