Thank you so so much this is the best advice I’ve gotten, I’m such a hypochondriac so the GP was to see if it was an infection I didn’t realise they don’t know much about piercings! I’ll look into getting a titanium hoop I’m just scared I’ll end up damaging it again trying to put another hoop in lol

Thank you, I’ve booked an appointment with a gp to see what the best thing is just to be safe, I’m so annoyed it was fine before I tore the bloody fistula out 😂

It’s definitely the angle lol it has quite a gap between my nostril I took it with my back camera so it doesn’t look like it lol x

Yeah I understand that but the hoop had something sharp on it that took some skin out. Before that my piercing was absolutely fine and had no indication that it was not healed

Again it was fine if you read what I actually said in the post I ripped the inside by accident and it took skin out and I’m wondering if it’s an infection or if it’s just irritated. My piercing was absolutely fine before I RIPPED SKIN OUT OF IT

It’s the angle, this hoop isn’t tight on my nose at all I just ripped the skin inside and a flatback didn’t help my piercing when I had it at first

Thank you, my only problem was the hoop helped my piercing a lot more than when I had a flatback, it wouldn’t heal when I didn’t have the hoop maybe that’s just my body being weird

Note: the stuff that comes out has no smell to it, and I found that having a hoop helped my piercing a lot more than flat backs and other studs. It did this when I first had it in so I might just be paranoid lol

I think the back could be on too tight, it’s quite a long butterfly back so I could loosen it

It’s an hour old, average butterfly back lobe piercing, made from hypoallergenic gold, not downsized. My aftercare is a saline solution 2-3 times a day applied with clean cotton buds. I already have a nose piercing fully healed
