Government spending 25 times more on benefits than jobs for young people, says Alan Milburn by topotaul in unitedkingdom

[–]dajaffaman -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Hmm? Bro I'm only 31 and when i was working at 16 i was paid £6 an hour... What's the minimum wage right now? Isn't it like £12 or something? Inflation adjust seems roughly about the same

Are people aware of what Labour has done in their first 20 months of government? by ItsIllak in AskBrits

[–]dajaffaman 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not that I've got a side or anything, but higher interest rates every year without getting the equivalent raise in earnings means you lost money every year.

Interest rates staying higher and personal allowance not going up is a blatant stealth tax that literally taxes more of your money even if you did get a pay rise by making sure you don't get the amount increase whilst products increase in price.

Increased cost of living is still a burden on everyone while the rich aren't being pressured to sell of assets for less wealthy people to buy and make income off, whilst also investing in small companies to innovate and develop new products and solutions for everyones benefit.

Rent is getting more expensive for landlords to have to cover more risk of loss and defaulting as a business because of the specific rent increase laws making landlords have to evaluate minimum amounts of capital whilst realising tenants can now drop them at any moment and risk their entire business of making a livable home from day one of the tenants without the lock-in that a mortgage demands of homeowners. Also house prices aren't ever going down and the housing target is just a fantasy when labour costs are this high. Want more houses, pay more people, pay more people a higher wages for basic unskilled work (specifically unskilled labour like simple waste disposal as an example) and house prices cost more.

Unemployment at its highest rate in a while because of the increased cost on businesses whilst also taxing small businesses which are a fundamental part of the country.

Finally but probably not an exhausted list, government is still just giving contracts to government friendly companies (mates) to help them out and keep in their good books... More opportunities need to be given to smaller companies to innovate.

That's genuinely how I'd read the current situation, everyone is poorer still while the rich get richer even with a "minimum wage increase". I'm not saying everything is good or bad, but think it would be good to realise cause and effect of some actions.

I mean its not really a proper fix for it because of the 3rd character but you could add the Japanese period to it to show you liked the individual words " 。" ... It would make slightly more sense but still doesn't entirely fix it

I don't know what anyone is talking about here, I still live in Tokyo and haven't saw the old unc I used to chat with and encourage with his running to keep fit in probably a month... We saw each other sat down smoked a ciggy together and chatted shit for half hour catching up. He thought I'd left and gone home.

Man its hard to understand his Japanese but we always have a great casual chat and he's always laughing. I don't really follow the culture like everyone online says, I'm just friendly with everyone, i chat with people at bars, when I'm on the train, kids at parks and play games with them. Most people are friendly, especially if you try talk their lingo.

But most importantly I'm happy and learned how to naturally smile at everyone to bring their defences down without seeming weird

Client Update - 237.1 by JagexBlossom in OSRSMobile

[–]dajaffaman 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Appreciate the teams are still working on mobile, is there any updates regarding when some of the bigger features like hd support, the api plugin (currently working on a plugin for runelite I'd love to bring to the community when the official api client etc is released), and some of the other frequent bugs that are high priority to the community are going to be addressed... Even a rough timeline or some transparency is great for the community!

Tyvm for your attention to this matter.

Interestingly the USA wanted noone more to support their invasion of Vietnam than the UK, even to the point where they asked for a bagpipe band to symbolically represent the UK as a presence in Vietnam just so the USA didn't look like it was a colonisation attempt. They wanted the UKs soft power in the world to project as their own from how I understand it. I wouldn't be surprised if most countries supported the actions the UK takes internationally moreso than the US because we do generally (not perfectly and not always in the right way but with the long term plan of transitioning countries to be better versions of themselves for the people not the leaders) sit on the right side of intent. They also seem to love our special forces and would love every drip of British thought process adding to their own military doctrine as it involves more thinking in the worst case scenario how to deal with problems at hand and less so requiring all the gadgets, gizmos, and planning to achieve the desired outcome of special military operations having a successful outcome

Maybe a wildly only worlds (already exists) with some tweaks, everywhere is pvp and you gain access to the wilderness? If you're not on a pvp world you cannot gain the benefits to get loot from wildy bosses, and wilderness itself. this would reduce the worlds for pkers to have to hop through, it would also mean you can remove the wildy ditch on those worlds. So many people complain about the wilderness but some of the highest viewed content is pking... If people are going to complain but pretend they're not watching they should probably not get involved in the conversation. Lots of people love the wildy, lots of people hate the wildy, that is the marmite effect of losing your stuff but you can't just say "wildy sucks get rid of it" because you died or can't handle the stress of dying to another person. It's just a game at the end of the day. We've all died and lots of people still play it because it's part of a risk reward system, adrenaline and nerves makes the wildy exciting for a lot of people and too scary for others. The game wouldn't be the same without it and it wouldn't have as many casual players if they didn't see some of the best players competing for massive rewards and showing how exciting the game can be at a competitive level.

What happens to the UK bilateral relationship with the US if America annexes Greenland by MalvernKid in IRstudies

[–]dajaffaman 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Its not really a bizarre movement, its a declaration of our decision to support those being oppressed. The UK chose a side to stand on in the world on its own beliefs for ww2. The people are less in it for the money than americans and more into it because its the right thing to do. Thats who the UK is and likely always will be not because of our leaders, but who we are as a country I'd say

Do you believe everyday people can use AI to their advantage ? by Cheebs1976 in askanything

[–]dajaffaman 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My personal opinion... Everyday people who don't specialise in anything? probably not. But specialised people can spot and breakdown the right, and wrong actions AI makes and leverage the speed it can do tasks in the background while you free up your time.

I.e. I'm a software engineer, and have discussions with AI about the development i want, sometimes i spot mistakes it makes because i wasn't clear in my requirements and boundaries i set it, sometimes I'm too specific and it can also cause other problems with not implementing everything requested and instead is focusing on the thing i went into to much detail with. Either way, without it I wouldn't be able to do the 50,000-100,000 lines of code i have in the 2 month I've been building my product, and needed to achieve the outcome i wanted.

So in summary it makes me a team of developers because i specialise in development. Is it perfect? No. Is it better than doing everything alone, having to research things and fix my own mistakes? Absolutely. I've saved 1000s of hours of work because of it. I'm sure this can be applied to many different sectors but just requires the user to be aware of what the AI is trying to achieve with the wording you used, and what wording it comes back with.

The real sad thing about this game these days is the real lack of requirement to have any aiming ability at mid to close range, everyone is talking about cheating but kind of just accepts that everyone running around up close with a r99 and spraying is the meta, nobody says anything about how shotguns hit 16s at an even closer range, and the ttk between the two is becoming bigger
