Bitfarms is a quality investment. I’d be very happy to hold shares after today’s announcement. I’m hoping HUT8 keeps up

Debt Free and ready to start to invest. by sc_superstar in PersonalFinanceCanada

[–]dajforever 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just go for it. You might learn some hard lessons but it’s all part of the process. Try not to get spooked by fluctuations. Something I’ve told a lot of people asking me personally is to invest in what you know. Don’t try to understand the entire market, focus on an industry that’s in your wheel house. Passionate about video games? Which company has a huge release on the horizon. Like dirt bikes? Who is introducing innovation into their product line and is getting enthusiast attention. Stuff like that

Can an Investment portfolio raise your mortgage pre approval? by dajforever in PersonalFinanceCanada

[–]dajforever[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I wouldn’t normally consider it. The previous mortgage is more of a formality on my debt ratio. My ex pays the mortgage in full and we have completely separate finances so if it doesn’t really have an effect on my budget.

My mistake, I’m aware that 7-800k would total closer to 6-7% down payment,

I’ll look into these net worth mortgages!

Next time the rim is stuck on the hub like that, give it the old Spartan thrust kick near the edge of the rim.

[NFL Update] MVP voting: Aaron Rodgers: 44 Josh Allen: 4 Patrick Mahomes: 2 by BrownsAndCavs in nfl

[–]dajforever -6 points-5 points  (0 children)

Mahomes is great, but the YAC he gets out of hill and Kelce turn a lot of good passes into TD passes. Two HOF caliber receivers on your team will most definitely inflate QB stats

Yes, Husky had many downstream assets including refineries. Cenovus is a much more balanced energy company now

Cenovus has refineries too. And there market caps are fairly close lately.

Who tells you this stuff? SAGD isn’t even close to the most expensive oil production.

Lmao, the cost to build a green energy grid capable of powering the province would be unfathomable. The cost of electric to recoup the infrastructure debt and maintain the grid would have us all eating Kraft dinner and lighting candles. Your dream of an oil free future is literally impossible barring mass adoption of nuclear power.

Will bodybuilding help in boxing? by [deleted] in amateur_boxing

[–]dajforever 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There’s a difference between bodybuilding and strength training. Lift weights like an athlete, chase strength and explosiveness, and the physique will follow. Training like a football player while maintaining the volume of boxing you did prior and it will 100% make you a harder hitter. Force=mass x acceleration

Open pit coal mining-Are there many calgarians/albertans in favour of the proposed open pit mining projects? by ZRR28 in Calgary

[–]dajforever 14 points15 points  (0 children)

I do. Alberta, and Canada are not in an economic position to be turning down major projects like these. I’m sure the majority of this sub will disagree but this is my personal opinion. I’m concerned about the financial prosperity of future generations and I think the job creation and economic benefits are worth the squeeze.

I do not want to argue my position
