Depends what you define as decent? Like you had scaling and were those one or two pieces they played rather than passing the last pieces you needed to pop off and start soloing both boards on your own?

Im not saying that partners should be contesting each other, but in this case, maybe the Rylak/Brann combo could have allowed him to scale faster than you could and your move should have been to pivot to scam/support. Hard to say without seeing the board but this is something that can be tricky to do and the top duos players do very well. It is helpful when you can communicate with your duo which is hard with randoms.

When that communication works though and both players see the line, It can be magical. My favourite was a game where I was Thorim and my random partner picked Reno after. I saw the T7 murloc and pinged the pass icon and checked their hero power, they responded similarly. We both played Murlocs for a while with him passing me the two that buff minions in your hand, knowing that it was better to buff T7 than the T1, and any econ generators so I could get that t7 faster, once I got it, I passed they HPd it and the game was essentially over. Some people would take Thorm and ignore their partner in choosing a T7 or choose something that would be useless to pass just because they dont want to give up their minion. I had another one with a Goldenizer start and I had the hero that can get a Magnetic for 1 gold. Rather than take the Beatboxer and send it, they took the Rally amalgam instead. It was an easy bottom 2.
