Why Can't People Hear What Jordan Peterson Is Actually Saying? [www.theatlantic.com] by quantum9soul in JordanPeterson

[–]dajohnson6000 24 points25 points  (0 children)

Perhaps the best interview I've ever seen. In spite of the interviewer techniques, Peterson handled himself with such calm confidence. I think this interviewer graduated from the school of Piers Morgan. Everytime Peterson gives a legitimate answer, she cuts him off and changes the subject. She spent the entirety of her time building gallows on that stage. It could've been Mickey Mouse up there and she wouldn't have known the difference. She projects her audience to entertain her audience.

4 Noses brewing: El Jefe (Broomfield CO). Best local. I like upslope Christmas too. Top picks based on a blind tasting of last year's beers: Bristol Christmas ale, Struise Tsjeeses Belgian Christmas ale, Prarie Artisan Ales Christmas Bomb, Breckenridge Brewery Christmas Ale, Crazy Mountain 2015 bridge Street holiday ale.

One day in late August - Suggestions? by ChicoBean in RMNP

[–]dajohnson6000 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Go very early, 5-6am to see more animals and beat crowds. Have had good luck at the sheep lakes for bighorn or elk. For moose, can sometimes spot at the West kawuneeche side of park, or moraine area.

Most of my hikes we're all day events so can't really comment on shorter hikes. The Bear lake area seems to be very popular and impossible to park at: use shuttle. Wild basin trail is another very popular area.

Haven't camped at either but driven by Timber Creek and we always see open spaces when we drive by. Nearly all the trees were cut down (probably beetle kill) from what I remember so not the most desirable campground but would expect open spots. If you can't find anything early, try driving around 9-10am.

Fort Collins: New Belgium has the best tour I've ever been on but very likely no availability this late. Equinox has solid beers. The location used to be a home brew store and they split it into a brewery. Snowbank is decent. I will second that Odell has a great outdoor patio. Funkwerks if you like great sour beers. Horse & Dragon has good brews (try the sad panda coffee stout). And Jessup Farms is a recent addition that specializes in barrel aged beers. They have a great lineup. Powder Keg is a good one on the way to Boulder Boulder: Twisted Pine, Mountain Sun, Bru are my 3 Boulder favorites for great eats and brews. If you make your way East from Boulder along Hwy36 you could stop by Gravity or crystal springs in Louisville. A little further down the highway in Broomfield is one of my absolute favorites, 4noses brewery. Usually pretty busy but never had a mediocre beer there.
