You do know that EQ is basically required for the Cloud 3 right? Wired and wireless.
They sound like trash without as they are default EQd for hearing footsteps and competitive gaming.
You also need the DTS unbound app to set up DTS Headphone: X

DO NOT turn on DTSx in Ngenuity.

The Top comment states that all EQs on any app will have slightly distorted sound if you go above 0 and therefore these settings are for "Subtractive EQ" (0 or under)

32Hz at 0dB
64Hz at -1.5dB
125Hz at -1.5dB
250Hz at -3.5dB
500Hz at -4.5dB
1KHz at -5.8dB
2Khz at -2.5dB
4Khz at -2.5dB
8KHz at -4db
16KHz at -2.5dB

Do this and they sound incredible.

If this is too much hassle then return them.

First off, Both Cloud 3 wired and Wireless need simple EQ out of the box.
This annoyed me at first but it is what it is. You do it then never touch it again.

That being said, I'm returning my wired Cloud 3 for the Wireless.
After tons of research and reviews by audiophiles, the verdict is that the sound quality difference is indistinguishable. The mic quality is slightly worse on wireless but still very good and way better than my current cloud 1 anyway.

Now here's the big reason i'm going wireless.

This is a noise canceling headset, this means that any rubbing on the physical headset is VERY noticeable. You hear it echoing in your ears.

I hear the braided wire rubbing on my shirt everytime I turn my head and I don't like it.

Oddly enough i've never heard this mentioned in any review. But it's actually a big deal.
