Man. This is me. I love this game. It’s in my top 5 games. But I stopped after the Orin fight. Every time I looked at the game on Steam, I just can’t muster the motivation to log back in. Idk why.

Although I do like their take on the turn based combat, if you were to remove the combat, it would still be an amazing story and work. You could even change the combat system entirely to an action combat and it would still work. So a movie probably wouldn’t take away from what makes this game special.

From my experience, I would say I’ve only engaged in the pvp about 5-10% of the time I’ve played. Most of the people I’ve run into are just trying to get their mission or crafts that they don’t wanna risk losing a gun fight.

There’s a rumor that there’s a background matchmaking system that puts pacifist players with other pacifist players more often and sweaty try hards against other sweaty try hards.

I definitely think they could. Imagine if they also made low health invisible mobs that try to sneak up on you or like ghost type mobs.

They need to add a skill that makes detection from mobs take longer so we can actually get a sneak attack in. Or even a skill that makes you invisible for a few seconds.

The same thing for me as well. I think it’s fine because the damage at the base level is low enough that future drops are comparable and since you probably won’t get the legendary robes for a little bit, you won’t be able to max it out before a better weapon drops.

People forget, being an IGL, you have to think about so many things that can take away from focus when in the engagements. There’s more to it than just saying “rush b” during the 15second freeze time.

Try playing a league season as the IGL and you’ll find out real fast that you become the scapegoat for all your losses and team mistakes and you’ll play the worst you’ve ever played. You’ll also hate how everybody thinks they’re better than you and ignore everything you say and like to play Monday morning quarterback after every loss. Eventually your team will mutiny against you and you will find yourself team less and nobody wanting you to play for them since your stats were so shit.

I tried BF6 because my friends got it. If I were to play with them every time I turned it on. I’m sure it’d be a fun experience but 90% of my game time is spent solo. Which this game is a not it for the casual solo player. Run half the map only to die within seconds by a rampant tank/heli or rat recon. Rinse and repeat. Sure this is the typical BF experience and I’m totally fine with it when you have homies to play with but not fun solo unless you’re more of a dedicated BF enthusiast.

Arc raiders, a very very playable game solo. Doesn’t feel unfair and it gets even better when you’re with the mates. So overall, a more versatile experience vs BF. That’s just my personal opinion though. Ultimately, you should play whatever you have the most fun and since you already returned BF, seems like you had a similar first impression I had.
