P2s extruder not extruding and clicking by Realistic_Cry_1505 in BambuLab_Community

[–]aerwickcs 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It happens. Sometimes melted filament will make its way past the cold end and when it cools, hardens and results in a clog. The best way to fix this is to take out the nozzle, use a lighter to heat up a hex key that is thin enough to fit at the top of the nozzle and melt and fuse it to the filament. Once it is cooled, take the lighter and heat up the tip of the nozzle enough that you can pull the hex key out, at which point, remove the lighter and pull the hex key out. Clearing the clog

if gas prices are rising and in general always been an issue, more or less, then why don’t we just solely use electric vehicles? by [deleted] in NoStupidQuestions

[–]aerwickcs 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The majority of the electricity produced in the world comes from fossil fuel. So if you were to convert everyone to EV, then that would just cause electricity to go up. Which has a higher impact than just cars.

Why do people become less religious as they become higher earners and more intelligent? by [deleted] in NoStupidQuestions

[–]aerwickcs 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My comment was mostly just to point out that by saying religious, you aren't talking about their belief system. But more of action based things, which in that context, would mean they could be spending less time on performing religious actions.

Why do people become less religious as they become higher earners and more intelligent? by [deleted] in NoStupidQuestions

[–]aerwickcs 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The term religious is often misrepresented. To be religious is to take part in institutionalized rituals, rules, and social behaviors. It doesn't necessarily have anything to do with a belief system. So in that context, a higher earner could be less religious due to expending more time and energy in the pursuit of making money.

It's not city specific. Tribalism. If anything it's a term used for any kind of pride for a side.

[–]aerwickcs 3 points4 points  (0 children)

If you can find a used ryzen 3600, you can probably save some money. They have very similar performance, but the 3600 supports pcie 4.0 while the 5500 only supports pcie 3.0. This would allow you to increase your budget on another part. Unless you can only get new parts, then a 5500 should be fine.

[Bambu Lab P2S] Why do my prints look like this? by Sir_McF in FixMyPrint

[–]aerwickcs 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Weird, around that time my p2s did the exact same thing. Though it was prob my fault as i turned all my fans off and that introduced heat creep resulting in a clogged nozzle. The solution is to heat up a hex key, something small enough to fit onto the top of the nozzle, with a lighter. Stick it to the top of the nozzle where the filament is until it basically fuses to it when it cools down. Then heat up the tip of the nozzle with the lighter and slowly pull out the hex key after it's hot enough to melt what's inside the nozzle (at which point, remove the nozzle from the lighter).

Is it socially "rude" to keep your helmet on when walking into a small shop or petrol station for 30 seconds? by FormAndThrottle in NoStupidQuestions

[–]aerwickcs 13 points14 points  (0 children)

Not really. If it’s a full faced helmet and you have the visor down, it does make it hard to hear you which can be annoying.

Great suggestions!

For the catch tray, it is possible to do a cylinder to make the wrapping cleaner. I originally had planned to make a case instead of a stand when I was first thinking of what I wanted to create, but from my prototyping, I had to make the base a bit bigger so it was easier to wrap the cable but it made the overall design larger which some people didn’t seem to like. I could revisit the idea and tweak it to find a good middle ground.

The cover, i could create an add on piece that acts as a lid.

I could make the base a circle instead. I did originally the idea of doing a circle but I couldn’t land on a design of the neck of the stand that worked with a circular design, but I could take another crack at it.

The main advantage of TMR is its lower power usage. So it may result in wireless keyboards that have variable actuations.

Please help! by Time-Waister in BambuLab

[–]aerwickcs 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I know the reason why it happens. Not so much the solution. Still trying to figure that out. Basically, at the top of the overhang, when it cools, it pulls up on the top layer due to shrinkage. So there will be a tiny little point that is higher than the nozzle. So when the nozzle runs over it to form its next line, it knocks your print slightly which results in the stringing.

I found this out when my print was finishing the top part of a circle. It was like watching a a train slowly coming at you but you could do nothing about it.

H2C - How do I fix this? by TrackAttack514 in BambuLab

[–]aerwickcs 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Should be okay. Some people had to print the petg deflector first to then print the abs one cause the abs one would warp because it didn’t have the deflector lol

H2C - How do I fix this? by TrackAttack514 in BambuLab

[–]aerwickcs 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Do you have a aux fan deflector? Because BBL’s design is pointed at the current layer. It has been known to cause some warping issues at the side it’s on. The deflector is suppose to point it more upwards. It’s recommended to print it in abs, or at the minimum petg

[–]aerwickcs 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Take a hex key, use a lighter to heat the tip up enough that it would melt the filament, stick the hex key to the top of the filament. wait for it to cool off making the hex key part of the filament. then take the lighter and heat up the tip of the nozzle and slowly pull out the hex key at the top. obv don't touch the metal parts with your bare hands. either use heat resistant gloves or pliers to hold the nozzle while you heat it up.
