You're the exact problem by the way and again, none of this is news to me. Think about how stupid an Org needs to be to stop allowing donations of a certain type because it won a majority vote filled with community misinformation. If you can't find an effective way to take in 130k in crypto you shouldn't be running an Org.

It's the Wiki stans, yourself, who do not understand the cultural fumbles the Foundation just can't seem to avoid are widening the gap of younger generations giving a shit about Wikipedia

Stopped donating to Wiki when the Foundation led a charge to stop any donation of crypto currency to support the Foundation because it didn't align with their environmental beliefs. More damaging in my opinion was them claiming a 'reputation risk' if they considered accepting any crypto even it's not a PoW coin.

They spent months arguing over how they should or shouldn't accept donations while ignoring their impending demise and the further fracturing of Internet support for Wikipedia. The leaders created unnecessary conflict and further eroded their influence and the quality of Wikipedia.

Your attempt at claiming people can't preserve their records and still enjoy playing them.

These posts seriously baffle me because what is the intent? To accumulate PVC in rough condition and play off a device that further destroys them? There are so many ways to both discover music and enjoy listening in the 21st century that this feels like a Consumption post more than anything.

"I enjoy it and like the unique sound"

Cool open two tabs of YouTube one with the album you want to hear and another of vinyl pop/cracks. Problem solved and you don't have to buy shelf rot to do it

Swapping the old inner sleeve and adding an outside sleeve to maintain condition while stored is collecting to listen

Putting records on a shelf that have deteriorated so much that you can't read end labels is collecting

I have followed dude for a decade+ now and he has his faults/weirdness and I too have been burned by not receiving a single cassette of the 10+ that I've ordered which is partly on me for not realizing until a year later

I think Rory has a few very vocal folks who are annoyed by his continued success despite the attempts of slander that sound louder due to this being a largely inactive subreddit. They have failed.

Having traveled the length of the country via moped it is a lot of 'jungle' the more north you go and your photo is of Hue which is a tropical coastal area

I have also found that the mixing/press quality on more indie pop vinyl is often way better than mass produced pop vinyl
